MLW today announced Richard Holliday vs. Mance Warner’s Mystery Man for MLW: FIGHTLAND at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia this Saturday, February 1. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.
The altercation between the Dynasty and Mance Warner has Ol Mancer “hot as a hornet.” So much so the “Southern Psychopath” demanded not one match but TWO this Saturday in Philadelphia. A source close to the Bucksnort brawler confirms that Warner wanted to fight the smug elitist Richard Holliday in addition to Warner’s scheduled bout with the Dynasty’s newest member, Gino Medina.
MLW.com confirmed league officials met with Warner in New York yesterday to discuss the situation. The league ruled it would not sanction a second bout… but did counter with a creative solution: MLW will allow Mance Warner to select a grappler of his choosing for a bout with Holliday in Philadelphia this Saturday night.
When asked to comment about who he would select for this match, Warner took a few swigs of lite beer and said, “Ya’ll know the answer! It’s gonna be Ol Mancer’s mystery man!” Warner then hoped in his ’92 GMC Sierra 1500 and unsteadily exited MLW headquarters at a high speed before MLW.com could follow-up with more questioning. Meanwhile, Holliday’s lawyer/father is threatening to sue MLW for an undisclosed amount in retaliation for making this match.

AEW has released the fourth set of Top 5 Rankings for 2020, for the week of January 29, 2020. The men’s rankings stayed the same this week. The only change to the women’s rankings this week was Britt Baker and Awesome Kong switching spots. The tag team rankings obviously changed after Kenny Omega and Hangman Page captured the AEW World Tag Team Titles from SCU. SCU is now ranked #1.
Add The Amazing Red and Disco Inferno to the list of names announced for the upcoming TNA-themed event from Impact Wrestling.
Red originally debuted with TNA in 2002 and made appearances with the company in 2003, 2004, and 2005. He originally retired shortly after leaving TNA in 2005, but returned to the indies and then TNA from 2009 to 2011. Red announced his retirement again in April 2019 due to a bad neck injury. He has wrestled a few matches since then, including a run with New Japan Pro Wrestling. He is a three-time TNA X Division Champion and a one-time NWA/TNA Tag Team Champion. Red also founded the House of Glory wrestling school and indie promotion in New York City back in 2014.
Disco Inferno originally debuted with TNA in 2002, under his real name of Glenn Gilbertti but left to work the indies in 2004. He made a few appearances in 2007 and worked behind-the-scenes, and has made a few other TNA/Impact appearances over the years. He ended up returning to Impact for the Thanksgiving show in 2018, and lost a 10-person mixed tag team match, being forced to wear a turkey suit. He also made a few appearances in 2019, mostly fighting against women.
As noted before, the show is quoted as “There’s No Place Like Home” which is a reference to TNA being based in the Orlando, FL area years ago. The Impact TNA event will take place on Friday, April 3 in Ybor City, Florida at The Ritz. It will air live on Fite TV at 7 pm ET. Tickets for “TNA: There’s No Place Like Home” are on sale now at Wrestlecon.com.
