Creators of one of the biggest wrestling YouTube channels, magazines brands and websites in the world is about to begin a brand new chapter in 2020. This comes with WrestleTalk’s announcement of their first-ever live show. Taking place in Central London at 229 in Great Portland Street, ‘The Battle of BritWres’ will see a host of the UK’s top promotions all providing guest matches in this truly special event. Fans of WrestleTalk regulars like Oli Davis, Luke Owen, Laurie Blake and more can also expect to see them at the event itself, including a special LIVE version of the WrestleRamble podcast.
The event, sponsored by Wrestling Travel, is the start of a much larger content partnership deal with The Fight Network, who launched in the UK last year. Companies already announced for the show so far include WrestleGate, NGW, Frontline, Pro Wrestling SOUL and WrestleVerse.
WrestleTalk’s Oli Davis said “When we gave 17-year-old Will Ospreay apprentice, Callum Newman, the first-ever WrestleTalk Scholarship, that was the beginning of us giving something back to the industry that we love – pro wrestling. Yet it was never intended to just be a one-off. Rather, it was the start of us and our supporters being more actively engaged in assisting the growth of the indy scene – starting in the UK. We’re delighted that some of those plans begin to take real tangible shape and it all begins on March 16th with ‘The battle of BritWres”.
Stay tuned to this website and WrestleTalk’s various platforms over the coming weeks for the announcement of signed talent, matches and more information on WrestleTalk’s soon to be announced deal with The Fight Network. ‘The Battle of BritWres’ has begun!
