As announced during NXT TakeOver: Portland, the stage has been set for another epic event across the pond as NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin is slated for April 26 at 3Arena and on the award-winning WWE Network. The first NXT UK TakeOver of 2020 was a memorable night on the black-and-gold brand, highlighted by NXT United Kingdom Champion WALTER’s brutal victory over Joe Coffey and the subsequent invasion by Undisputed ERA against Imperium. Stay tuned for ticket and show information in the coming months.

Major League Wrestling today announced the signing of 6’3″ 267 pound Zachary Cooper. Fresh off of competing in Germany’s wXw and amidst an extended tour of the United Kingdom, the heavyweight has impressed many with his athletic ability and dominance against veterans on the European circuit and stateside.

“Zachary Cooper is a throwback to the days of the big men that Bruno Sammartino battled,” said Court Bauer. “Mix in a state-of-the-art arsenal and the agility of a luchador and you have a new era heavyweight. Cooper could very well be the next big thing in the sport.”

A native of Tampa, Florida, the 22-year old FAU graduate played football and has a background in kickboxing. Expected to be courted by managers in MLW, Cooper has been labelled “the blue-chip beast” – a title that seems to be rather fitting thus far in his early and successful career in the sport. Cooper was previously a member of the faction The International Superstars.

Zachary Cooper will make his Major League Wrestling debut Saturday night April 18 when MLW returns to Chicago for MLW Intimidation Games.

As announced yesterday, Alpha-1 Wrestling, a popular Canada-based promotion that has been running shows in Ontario since 2010, will begin airing on the IMPACT Plus digital subscription video-on-demand (VOD) service.

Alpha-1 is the brainchild of founder Ethan Page, who is also one half of the reigning IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, The North, along with Josh Alexander.  The first Alpha-1 show to air on IMPACT Plus will be Deadly Encounter, which was held on February 16 in Hamilton, Ont. Deadly Encounter will be available on IMPACT Plus this February, along with four additional Alpha-1 shows from 2019.  “Getting the chance to air Alpha-1 Wrestling shows on IMPACT Plus is a great opportunity and a perfect way to further spotlight the talented in-ring performers,” Page said.

The Alpha-1 roster features the promotion’s 2019 Wrestler of the Year, Mark Wheeler; the 2019 Newcomer of the Year, Dan The Dad; as well as 2019 rivals BMD and Justin Sane, among others. In addition, many IMPACT Wrestling stars have competed in an Alpha-1 ring, including Trey of The Rascalz, Josh Alexander of The North, Sami Callihan, Moose and more.  The next major Alpha-1 show is This Is The Way on March 22, featuring in-ring appearances by IMPACT Wrestling stars Eddie Edwards, Moose, Jake Crist, Sami Callihan, Trey and Josh Alexander. The show will premiere on IMPACT Plus in early April.
