Impact Wrestling announced during tonight’s episode that Chris Bey has been officially signed and will make his official in-ring roster debut soon. This news broke a few hours after Cody told in a media call he was looking at Bey for AEW. At the same time, this news is not a surprise as Bey has worked every Impact Wrestling tapings session or event around California or Nevada since last year. He recently took part in the Las Vegas taping session earlier this month.

At 24, the Virginia-born wrestler has been wrestling for 3 years, mostly on the West Coast wrestling scene, for Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, Future Stars of Wrestling, Joey Ryan’s Bar Wrestling, PC Ultra, Ring Warriors. He made his debut last year with deathmatch promotion GCW. Bey’s as good in a singles match as in a tag team bout. He’s formed a tag team across several promotions with Suede Thompson. He also recently appeared on WWE’s 205 Live and for Ring of Honor.

Charismatic, high-flying, already an accomplished in-ring star, Bey is a tremendous addition to the Impact Wrestling roster. He will be able to continue to work the indies shows he is so appreciated to take part in. The “Ultimate Finesser” could quickly make a statement on Impact and become a very serious contender for the X-Division Title in the coming months.
