Seems like the Blue brand loves special guests… After Goldberg and Hulk Hogan, this week on Fox, The Bellas Twins are the guests of A Moment of Bliss and Goldberg is back to confront The Fiend. Next week, John Cena will here. We are 6 days away from Super ShowDown, we’ll know who of Carmella or Nami will take part in the first-ever women’s title match in Saudi Arabia. We can expect some Mandy and Otis, after last week’s debacle. Welcome to the most must-see SteelChair review in history; welcome to… the SmackDown Review.

Results:

– The Usos & The New Day defeated The Miz & John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.

– Braun Strowman & Elias defeated Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro in a Symphony of Destruction match.

– Daniel Bryan defeated Heath Slater w/ Drew Gulak.

– Naomi defeated Carmella to earn the right to face Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Super ShowDown.

Steph’s Best Bits:

The 8-Man Tag match was not super sexy but it was fun, good and teased next week’s title match at Super ShowDown. The huge fan of John Morrison I am will never have enough of the Shaman of Sexy.

For those who are interested in Mandy and Otis’ love story, Rose and Sonya Deville were backstage talking now when Tucker walked up. He said Rose hurt his boy. Mandy said she invited Ziggler when Otis didn’t show up. Tucker asked why then did she send a text message saying she was running late. Mandy was confused about that and it seems she didn’t send the text. Sonya said maybe Mandy dodged a bullet because she did have fun with Ziggler. Rose said yes but she was kind of looking forward to going out with Otis, but oh well. Deville said Ziggler is more like Rose’s type anyway. Mandy might not be so sure of that. Later, we would see an angry Otis look at Mandy leaving in a car with Ziggler.

Some strange moments like Drew Gulak having a PowerPoint presentation for Daniel Bryan to show what he has been doing wrong was stupid, Sheamus’ promo on Crews and Gable, Corbin’s promo on his Steel Cage match against Roman Reigns at Super ShowDown. Then, some of you may have noticed the lights that were flashing during the show intermittently. I wish it could be a sign of my favourite Tollman, but some noticed these lights looked like Ali’s…

Lacey Evans put a cat among the pigeons when she told Renee Young she was looking for a spot at Elimination Chamber, which would mean three Elimination Chamber matches at the PPV. Sheamus announced he is entering the SmackDown Men Elimination Chamber match we can expect for the number one contendership for the WWE Universal title at Mania. We know that Becky Lynch’s opponent at WrestleMania will be determined at Elimination Chamber when Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Natalya, Asuka and Shayna Baszler will face off into the monstrous structure. Will Bayley defend her title into the Chamber or will her opponent at Mania be determined into? I don’t know but three Chamber matches would be a lot…

For Fox Sake:

A Symphony of Destruction match, that kind of bout has probably never happened in WWE history… And it was cool. From tambourine to a piano, the whole orchestra was welcomed in this Falls Count Anywhere match. It made me think of the Monty Python’s exploding “Blue Danube” because it was as funny as it was absurd. Braun was slammed into the double bass he brought. Braun broke a bass drum over Cesaro’s head. Nakamura hit the Kinshasa into the gong.  Braun powerslammed Nakamura onto the piano. Like I said, absurd… but good…

The Bella Twins will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020, they chose the only female talk show in WWE to announce it. I won’t tell more about the twins here, as I did the news at 3.30 AM this morning (I don’t thank WWE for that). Nikki talked about how grateful they are and said they wouldn’t be where they are and would not have broken the barriers they did over the years if it weren’t for their Bella Army. Brie agreed and gave praise to the women’s division for how they continue to raise the bar. They brought up their pregnancies, Nikki’s engagement, so the Hall of Fame induction is just the cherry on top of a great year. Sweet moment when Daniel Bryan, Brie’s husband, came out with their daughter Birdie. When it comes to how convinced I am by The Bellas induction to the Hall of Fame, it’s another story…

The result of the match between Naomi and Carmella was not the most interesting thing, even the match itself was not. WWE were allowed to make history once again. Last November, Natalya and Lacey Evans competed for the first time in Saudi Arabia. This time, Bayley and Naomi will compete in Saudi Arabia but for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The Bellas were talking about breaking barriers, it’s true Rome wasn’t built in a day. WWE are not going to revolutionize Saudi Arabia traditions, but one baby step after another, wrestling can help people open their minds to something different. And that’s cool.

Why choosing to show a weak Fiend tonight? Goldberg hit the ring, said how damn it’s good to be back. He addressed WWE Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt to a pop, saying he’s ready. The Firefly Fun House music interrupted, with the usual jokes and mind games, but they were not working on Golberg this time. Lights went out, The Fiend appeared right behind Goldberg. He speared The Fiend, and the Fiend had difficulties to get up. Lights out, lights in, The Fiend disappeared. I honestly have no desire to see Goldberg become Champion again and go to Mania with the belt. This segment was as surreal as The Fiend can be.
