On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump announced a suspension of travel from Europe to the United States in the ongoing attempt to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The ban was in response to his belief that European Union companies hadn’t reacted quickly enough and, as a result, had contributed to the spread of infection in the US.
With travel suspended for thirty days from Friday 13th March, this will affect Europeans hoping to attend this year’s WrestleMania, though UK residents aren’t (at the time of writing) affected by the travel ban. With WrestleMania regularly drawing a large number from around the world, including wrestlers from Europe taking part in the wrestling events around the WrestleMania weekend, it’ll be interested to see how WWE respond to this announcement, especially with Tampa city officials due to meet on Thursday to discuss events taking place in the city.
