WWE NXT General Manager William Regal appeared on WWE’s The Bump today and announced a tournament to crown an Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion. Current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin is stuck in the UK due to coronavirus travel restrictions.

Regal said he will be announcing competitors and full tournament details on social media over the next few days. Devlin reacted on social media after the announcement and said this was a disrespectful decision by WWE officials.

Regal also addressed the situation surrounding the NXT Tag Team Titles as Pete Dunne is also stuck in the UK due to COVID-19. His partner Matt Riddle has been appearing on NXT TV by himself. Regal said he hasn’t decided on what will happen with the NXT Tag Team Titles yet, but he will be looking at all available options and he will have an announcement in the next week or so.

Talking about the UK, NXT UK Assistant to the General Manager, Sid Scala, announced on Twitter that, starting this Thursday, NXT UK will take a look back at its greatest moments and matches. Plus, you’ll get to hear from the talented Superstars involved.

As of now, NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin has been postponed, at least by the arena, and the tapings session from Coventry in early May seems to be cancelled. As noticed on the WWE website, every April PPV, live event or taping has been removed from WWE schedule.
