The Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore announced that the 2020 WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view, set to take place on May 10, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tweet from the arena included a video which is an unlisted live event promo from the official WWE channel.

The video comes with this message, “AT WWE, WE BELIEVE THERE IS SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN THIS… AND THAT IS YOU – THE WWE UNIVERSE. IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES YOUR SAFETY AND HEALTH IS PARAMOUNT. THE SUPERSTARS AND THE MEMORABLE MOMENTS WILL RETURN… AND WHEN WE DO, WE WANT TO SEE YOU THERE. BECAUSE PUTTING A SMILE ON YOUR FACE IS WHAT WE DO, AND WE CAN’T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN.”

The event seems now likely to take place at the WWE Performance Center, but WWE has yet to confirm that news.

As expected, NXT UK tapings scheduled for Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 in Bournemouth have been cancelled. NXT UK was also scheduled to tape matches at the 2020 UK Download Festival from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14, but those tapings were nixed due to the festival being cancelled because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

NXT UK still has TV tapings scheduled for Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.

Jordan Devlin is not stripped of the NXT Cruiserweight title. The tournament announced by William Regal yesterday will crown an interim Champion, so there will be 2 Champions.

Details on the tournament will be revealed in the coming days on WWE’s Digital and Social platforms but Mauro Ranallo announced on NXT the tournament will begin next week during NXT on USA network.
