Ricky Starks announced on today’s edition of Busted Open Radio that he and the NWA have decided to part ways. Starks stated that his contract had come up and both sides mutually agreed to part ways, but Starks insisted the parting was not bitter. He mentioned himself as one of the “hottest free agents” in wrestling now.

Starks also released the following vignette promoting his free agency.

One of the top prospects in the US indies, Ricky Starks was an early signee with the NWA, signing with the company in August of 2019 after appearing at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show PPV the previous fall. Starks was the inaugural NWA television champion in the modern era, defeating Trevor Murdoch, at NWA Hard Times on January 24, and was featured on NWA’s weekly Youtube show, Powerrr.
