WWE has come to terms on the release of Jack Gallagher (Jack Claffey).

WWE were very short on words to announce Gallagher’s departure from the company. After working for almost ten years on the UK indie wrestling business, Gallagher earned a place in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic in 2016 by defeating Pete Dunne in a qualifier match at Progress Wrestling’s Chapter 29.

Gallagher made his official WWE debut on the inaugural episode of 205 Live, defeating Ariya Daivari. The Man With The Umbrella would participate in the 2017 Royal Rumble match. He would also appear on RAW, NXT and NXT UK shows.

He came up short every time he had a chance to become NXT Cruiserweight or NXT UK Champion. Last April, Gallagher was announced for the Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament representing Group B. He wrestled his last match on 205 Live on June 15, where he was defeated by Jake Atlas.
