Just after tonight’s episode of IMPACT, a new video was aired to announce that, at Slammiversary XVIII, a former World Champion will come back on July 18 live on PPV, and he won’t be alone. No location was revealed, as well as a crowd/no-crowd situation. You can order the PPV worldwide on Fite TV.
This time, we can see the mystery man having three glasses of alcohol. He sits down in front of a TV and we see James Storm, Bully Ray, EC3 and Chris Sabin appear on the screen. As the newsreader announces a former World Champion is coming back at Slammiversary, the faces of Eric Young, EC3 again, and Kurt Angle are shown.
As the TV newsreader explains this Champion will not only be in the audience but he won’t be alone, more faces are shown. Brian Myers, Lio Rush, Amazing Red, Shane Helms, Gail Kim, D.O.C. Gallows, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, Karl Anderson, Mike and Maria Bennett, and Bully Ray’s faces were mixed up with a fist entangled in barbed wire, some children, and the Bulgarian, Canadian and Japanese flags.
We can notice some faces from the previous teasers disappeared, like Mr Anderson, Austin Aries and Sting. Gail Kim, Amazing Red, Shane Helm, and The Beautiful People are appearing for the first time, as well as the Japanese flag. What changed too is the announcement, “a former World Champion will not only be in attendance but he won’t be alone.”
Ten days before the PPV, many question marks remain, which means the surprise could be even bigger. Eric Young and his character of Super Eric were featured in last week’s episode when a member of the Aces and Eights was two weeks ago.
Stay tuned in the coming days on SteelChair for more information on Slammiversary XVIII.
