AEW‘s Fight For The Fallen will be aired live as a one-night special event on Wednesday, 15th July replacing the usual Dynamite show. Fight For The Fallen was meant to be held with a crowd, but due to the global pandemic, the event was moved to Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida and turned into a free special event. Fight For The Fallen will be available to watch on TNT in the United States, while international viewers can watch the night on Fite TV for a small monthly subscription fee.
AEW Fight For The Fallen Special Event – Wednesday, 15th July 2020 – 8:00 PM ET / 1:00 AM BST
Here is the card of the show spread over two nights:
- AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (C) vs Brian Cage
- AEW TNT Championship: Cody (C) vs Sonny Kiss
- FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Hardwood) vs Lucha Bros (Pentagón Jr. & Rey Fénix)
- The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) vs Jurassic Express
AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (C) vs Brian Cage
Jon Moxley vs Brian Cage was meant to take place at Fyter Fest Night Two but, due to Jon Moxley being exposed to COVID-19, he was unable to attend. This feud has been heating up for weeks now as Brian Cage and his manager Taz has been increasingly personal in their attacks on the champion. Telling Moxley in a rather controversial promo that he was too lazy to turn up to work. Now at Fight For The Fallen, Moxley will finally seek revenge on Cage, while the Machine attempts to win his first title belt within AEW.
AEW TNT Championship: Cody (C) vs Sonny Kiss
Cody won the TNT Championship at the last PPV, Double or Nothing. Since winning the belt Cody has defended the title every week on Dynamite. This week during Fight For The Fallen Cody will be defending his TNT title against The Concrete Rose Sonny Kiss. While we have not seen any build up between Cody and Sonny Kiss in recent weeks, we have seen Kiss finding his feet within AEW as he tags with Joey Janela.
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Hardwood) vs Lucha Bros (Pentagón Jr. & Rey Fénix)
The match that could steal the whole show, FTR will face off against the Lucha Bros. We saw these two teams go against each other last week on Fyter Fest Night Two as they were both apart of an 8 man tag match. These are undoubtedly two of the best teams within not only AEW but also within professional wrestling. Therefore even with limited build-up, this match is going to be simply spectacular.
The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) vs Jurassic Express
Another match without any build-up, like 90% of the Fight For The Fallen card. One halve of the AEW World Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega will be teaming up with his best friends The Young Bucks to compete against Jurassic Express. This could be another excellent match even without any build-up as these two teams are both unique and have this amazing in-ring ability.
