AEW has officially announced the signing of the Mad King, Eddie Kingston. The beloved king of the independent scene first made an appearance on the July 22nd edition of AEW Dynamite in response to Cody’s TNT Championship open challenge where he introduced Cody to thumbtacks in a no DQ match.

Since that appearance, fans had been rallying behind Kingston to be signed as a full-time member of AEW. Now it seems their efforts have succeeded as the company announced his All Elite status less than an hour ago.
Kingston is known for fighting anywhere and everywhere. Throughout his career, he’s made appearances in CHIKARA, CZW, TNA/Impact Wrestling, ICW No Holds Barred, and so many more over a 15+ year career. As a practitioner of the King’s Road Style, Kingston isn’t afraid to get ugly between the ropes. In one of his most recent matches, he even launched a tirade at AEW, calling out Cody personally.

So far Twitter has been abuzz with congratulations for Kingston’s signing with responses within the company such as Colt Cabana and from outside it as the indie scene reacts to the news. Eddie Kingston is a well-respected figure in the industry so the outcry of responses is completely justified. When people talk about grind they should look to Eddie Kingston, the realest guy in the business.
