A Preview for All Out

Jon Moxley and MJF have gone undefeated in singles competition since the start of AEW, but it wasn’t until recently that they finally crossed paths. MJF’s momentum is at an all-time high with the wins he’s racked up this year, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s primed to leave All Out as the new AEW World champion. It’s tough to tell what the future would hold for MJF if he doesn’t reign supreme on Saturday (aside from a potential program with his bodyguard Wardlow but that would be premature), but at the age of 24, plenty of time remains for him to reach the mountaintop of the company.

Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy have been at odds for months and this Mimosa Mayhem match at All Out will see them settle their score once and for all. The stipulation states that the bout can only be won by pinfall, submission, or the opponent getting thrown into a tank of mimosa.

Hikaru Shida has been the best AEW’s women’s division has had to offer for some time now. At Double or Nothing, she had her crowning moment when she became the new AEW Women’s champion. She’s beaten everyone who has stepped up to challenge her up to this point, but Thunder Rosa will prove to be her biggest challenge to date. The NWA Women’s World champion is among the top women’s wrestlers in the world and has come to AEW to cement her status as the greatest by facing Shida.

The best tag team of 2020 is with no doubt Kenny Omega and Adam Page. They will face another one of the best tag teams in the world, FTR. This match will undeniably be a match of the year contender considering the teams involved. This bout will also determine the direction of what will happen to Omega who has been teasing the return of “The Cleaner” and “Hangman” no longer being part of The Elite will play important parts in the story of this match, and Kenny Omega has been showing signs of him transitioning to an unstable heel in recent weeks.

The most intense feud AEW fans have been treated to in recent weeks is the one being contested between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara. Since returning from a company imposed sabbatical, Sammy’s been embroiled in a blood feud with Matt. An errant chair shot from Sammy busted Matt wide open a few weeks back and really kicked this beef up a few notches. Both men have been tearing into each other ever since and now we’ve finally arrived at their tiebreaker matchup. It’s clear that this Broken Rules match will operate like a No Holds Barred contest, which is fitting since both of these men are looking to use everything but the kitchen sink to destroy each other. Now the rules state that Matt will be forced to leave AEW if he’s defeated here.

Matt and Nick Jackson are a little more pissed than usual due to the actions of their former Elite stablemate, Adam Page. That was evidently clear as they moved away from their usual cocky yet fun-loving demeanour during their last AEW Dynamite match. Their win alongside Jurassic Express helped place them in a tag team card against them on this very PPV.

The list of participants for the Casino Battle Royale is stacked. At the moment, we only have 17 out of the 21 competitors promised for this bout, Darby Allin, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks, Eddie Kingston, The Blade, The Butcher, Fénix, Pentagon Jr., Shawn Spears, Billy, Austin Gunn, Jake Hager, Santana, Ortiz, Chuck Taylor and Trent. That leaves four more match participants, which means we’re due for a few surprises here.

The Dark Order is looking mighty strong these days. After Mr. Brodie Lee decimated Cody and captured the AEW TNT Championship, the new champ and his underlings kept beating on the blonde-haired hero and left the Nightmare Family for dead. Revenge is certainly on the mind for Cody’s extended family (and respected opponent Scorpio Sky), who have all decided to go to war with the four top members of The Dark Order. At this point, The Dark Order has turned itself into a far more formidable unit and is climbing up the ranks of AEW relevancy.
