AEW made official tonight Matt Sydal’s signing with the promotion. He made his AEW debut at All Out where he was a surprise entrant in the Casino Battle Royale. He wrestled last week on AEW Dynamite in a match against FTW Champion Brian Cage.
For twenty years now, Sydal has wrestled for all the major companies all around the world, including WWE, TNA/Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, EVOLVE and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in the USA, Dragon Gate and NJPW in Japan, RevPro and wXw in Europe.
During his career, he’s held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship 2 time, the ROH World Tag Team Championship, the WWE Tag Team Championship, the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship, the Dragon Gate Open the Brave Gate Championship and the Impact X Division and Grand Slam Championships. He also won the NJPW Super Jr. Tag Tournament in 2015 with Ricochet.
