The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week

– Ace Austin vs TJP

This is TJP’s rematch clause after losing to Ace Austin at Sacrifice. Ace Austin looked right for a single-leg takedown right after the bell rang. TJP countered with an octopus lockup but couldn’t fully get it in. TJP switched it up with twisted head scissors. Back on their feet, TJP had Austin in a tightly held side headlock. Austin escaped from it off the ropes. Austin turned it around with a kick from off the ropes. Now, both men found themselves on the outside. Austin landed another perfect punt kick from off the apron. TJP countered Austin’s superplex with a facebuster.

Back from the commercial break, Austin stomped away on top of TJP, then locked him up in a single leg Boston Crab. TJP reversed the lockup, causing Austin to run over towards the ropes. Austin drove his boot into the spine while stretching TJP’s arms back. TJP temporarily stopped Austin’s momentum with a big boot from off the ropes. TJP smashed his knee towards the side of Austin’s face. TJP with a cover. Austin caught TJP with a stunning roundhouse kick, followed by a high leg drop from off the top.

TJP finally locked in his octopus submission. Austin found his way over to the ropes. TJP locked him up again in the same position on the ropes. Madman Fulton got Austin’s foot on the bottom rope. TJP sent Fulton out of his way. Fulton tried to stop TJP’s momentum. TJP landed a big knee to the gut and hit his Mamba Splash. TJP went for the cover but Fulton slid into the ring and broke the count. The referee called the DQ. TJP won the match, not the belt.
Another insanely good match…

– Eddie Edwards vs Karl Anderson

Both men went straight for a collar and elbow tie-up. Eddie Edwards spun behind with a waist lock, followed by a side headlock takedown. Edwards caught Karl Anderson with an inverted atomic drop, then a suicide dive through the middle rope onto Gallows and Anderson. Back from the break, Anderson clocked Edwards in the face with a heavy right before sending him towards the ring post. Anderson rolled Edwards back into the ring and worked on Edwards’ left arm that seemed injured following his collision towards the ring post. Anderson caught Edwards with a side headlock but Edwards rose to his feet.

Anderson snapped Edwards towards the corner with a quick Irish Whip. Edwards escaped the corner and landed a step-up enzuigiri. Off the top, Edwards sent Anderson crashing down with a backpack stunner Cover. Edwards continues the momentum with a Blue Thunder Bomb after planting a rolling elbow from off the ropes. Both men exchanged stiff elbows and forearm shots. Edwards connected with another rolling elbow. Doc Gallows tried to get involved again. Anderson pushed Edwards towards the ropes. Gallows smacked Edwards across the face with a chair. Anderson got the win.

The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts/Awards of the Week

– Sami Callihan

We, the French, are never losing the North. You, Americans or Brits, have your head screwed on right. But one man knows exactly where he goes and what he wants. Sami Callihan wants the Championship spot whether against Rich Swann or Kenny Omega after Rebellion. Coming from him, it’s not a surprise. He may probably not be the only one who could pretend to it but, at least, he made it clear he wants it, and he won’t let anyone take it away from him.

Hardcore Justice

Following last week’s announcement, many Impact Wrestling fans, and wrestling fans in general, were puzzled by the announcement of Hardcore Justice taking place the same day, and possibly at the same hour. If this website has never been a place for rumours, some others are saying the show could start at 3 PM EST (8 PM BST). Due to the number of shows taking place in a matter of a few days, from a large variety of promotions, that would be appreciated. I confirm that news to you as soon as I can…

Rebellion – DAY CHANGED

Nothing new when it comes to the card of the PPV. Two cross-promotional matches, nothing else. Then, I may have a few ideas on who could be the contenders for the other belts, but there’s a game I’m not tempted to play right now just because a few wrestlers are injured (Chris Bey, essentially) and many things could change at Hardcore Justice, just 2 weeks before the PPV… The art of being patient (I hate that)…

To be eNYGMAtic…

Three weeks before Hardcore Justice and five before Rebellion… It should smell the build-up everywhere, inside and outside the ring, but we are far away from that. The action was excellent. TJP and Ace Austin are absolutely unable to deliver a bad match and that’s wonderful. Eddie Edwards vs Karl Anderson, for the first time ever, knowing they both have been wrestling for at least 15 years, I call that a gift.
I will quote EC3 again but this is the right time to control the narrative, tell the right story to finally have the action expected. What The Invisible Hand is doing is nothing. That’s just a tiny piece of the game. You would give him too much credit if you weren’t looking at this crowded and talented roster that just want to compete. Like I heard once, silence doesn’t mean you’re forgotten… And for the choice of the title, I let you Google© that, you will understand…
On this “Nygma Prefers Vodka Orange” note, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, go get vaccinated, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
