Right here, right now. Happy Day 98 of 2021. “Rebellion is not always pretty. It’s having the ability to stand up for what you believe in, no matter the consequences.” Step three on The Road To Rebellion, stand tall, walk your path of glory with your head up. Your attitude won’t please everybody, does it really matter? You know why you are here. Right here, right now, may Thursday be the new Tuesday, move forward, don’t look back and, of course, make no prisoners.
On the menu this week, from Nashville, Tennessee, Deaner will compete against Chris Sabin. Sami Callihan expects to team up with Trey Miguel against XXXL. We’ll also have a 3 vs 3 Knockouts Match. IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Eddie Edwards will face off AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

D’Lo Brown and Matt Striker were on commentary. On ‘Before The Impact’, Jazz w/ Jordynne Grace defeated Susan w/ Deonna Purrazzo.

  • Jordynne Grace, Havok & Rosemary (w/Decay) defeated Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb), Nevaeh & Alisha when Rosemary hit the Red Wedding on Alisha. Former partners Havok and Neveah brawled on the apron where Nevaeh delivered a Russian Leg Sweep through the table on the floor.
  • Backstage, Matt Cardona told Gia Miller he was confused as to why Brian Myers didn’t accept his challenge. He is ready to move on and show the world that he doesn’t need Myers. D’Amore has booked him against Jake Something tonight.

  • “Let’s Get Wilde” teaser.

  • Backstage, after taking a nasty hit from Jazz on Before The Impact, Dr. Ross was ready to see Susan and help her with her injuries. When he said he’ll see her now, several flashing colors appeared.

  • Matt Cardona vs Jake Something ended in what I think was a double DQ as Brian Myers attacked both of them. Brian Myers planted a DDT on Cardona and then threw Something towards the stairs. He then said to Cardona he had some time to think, and he changed his mind. He accepted Cardona’s challenge at Rebellion.
  • Backstage, XXXL found Trey Miguel and teased him before their tag team match against Sami Callihan, assuming Miguel would come out and join Callihan.
  • Violent By Design promised to carry forward after Eric Young lost to James Storm last week. Young said that tonight, Deaner will not fail in his match against Chris Sabin and he will be on his own. If Deaner fails, Young reminds him there will be consequences.

  • Trey Miguel & Sami Callihan defeated XXXL. They could potentially be a solid team.
  • At Swinger’s Palace, James Storm, Chris Sabin and Chris Harris were testing their betting luck before Sabin’s match tonight. James Storm handed his chips to Chris Harris.

  • Chris Sabin w/ James Storm defeated Deaner. After the match, Eric Young and Joe Doering ambushed Chris Harris at Swinger’s Palace. Young said this is all James Storm’s fault.
  • Backstage, Ace Austin and Madman Fulton got into a verbal argument with their opponents from last week, TJP and Josh Alexander. Just before Austin had to defend his X-Division Championship against Alexander and TJP at Rebellion, Hardcore Justice booker Tommy Dreamer thought it would be a great idea to have all three men pick their own partners for a three-way tag match this Saturday so they could blow off some steam before their big title fight in two weeks.

  • Backstage, Dreamer saw Eric Young walking by after brutally attacking Chris Harris. Dreamer said he’s going to get some guys together to take down Violent By Design. Young was looking forward to this hardcore challenge.

  • Retrospective video of Jazz’s career.

  • Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo told Gia Miller she is going to get emotional, knowing the influence Jazz had on her. Deonna reminded everyone that this is her era and her time to win. She will walk in alone, without Kimber Lee or Susan.

  • Backstage, Tommy Dreamer found Brian Myers and revealed that Jake Something wants a match against him. Dreamer booked Myers in a Hardcore Blindfold match.

  • Impact World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack & Eddie Edwards defeated AEW World Champion Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (w/Don Callis) when Swann pinned Anderson.

The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”

Some things don’t need an explanation. It happened while Before The Impact, Susan just danced.

The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts/Awards of the Week

– Reno Scum and Rosemary

IMPACT Wrestling confirmed today that ROSEMARY has been added to the lineup for the 2-hour Rebellion CELL-ebration, which will be held on Sunday, April 25, starting at 11 AM ET (4 PM BST), with D’Lo Brown and Gia Miller co-hosting the popular, interactive fan experience. If that doesn’t make you want to take part in, I honestly ask myself what you need to be in. All the details on CELL-ebration here. One thing is sure, I’ll be there…

Also, Adam Thornstowe revealed earlier this week he and Luster The Legend were no longer part of the IMPACT roster. Reno Scum will come back one day, I’m sure. Some doors may be forbidden, others are always opened.

– I was not alone?

I’ve never said I was against any cross-promotional work between companies. I made know the time that was given to AEW was some time that was not given to Impact Wrestling talents. The fact some wrestlers now are telling their truth is, in some ways, making me happy. My only goal is to support the company I’ve been writing about for nearly 4 years. Then, as a true wrestling fan, I’m one of those who watch as much of it as she can. And enjoy as much of it.

Hardcore Justice

Here is what seems to be the final card of the iPPV taking place this Saturday at 3 PM (8 PM BST). TJP just announced on IMPACT social media he would team up with his good friend Fallah Bahh. Ace Austin chose Madman Fulton. When it comes to Josh Alexander, you will have a nice surprise. Also, expect maybe one or two more matches, I won’t say anything more…

To be eNYGMAtic…

My apologies for this shorter review but Mania week is so much to deal with AND I see you tomorrow with another review, Hardcore Justice one. That was a complex episode. I’m still convinced it would have been better to move to Thursdays next week, but it remains my opinion. That comeback to the original IMPACT day would have deserved a nice nod. Action-wise, the matches were good. I couldn’t take the time to talk about my NutCrackers of the week but I really appreciated Sabin vs Deaner.
Then, it happened a lot backstage. Not a lot, a ton. Before this episode, Hardcore Justice was just 2 matches. We now have seven but I will need to watch it to enjoy them, or not. Remember we are a few hours away from Hardcore Justice and 2 weeks from Rebellion… There’s a smell of emergency in the air. I hope Hardcore Justice will help make things clearer when it comes to the PPV.
On this “Nygma and Mania Don’t Rhyme At All” note, until Hardcore Justice, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, go get vaccinated, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
