The working relationship between Ring of Honor and CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre) has come to an end. In the tweet below, CMLL announced the dissolution of the partnership, effective immediately.
CMLL began working with ROH on August 10, 2016, brought together due to their respective partnerships with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The agreement saw talent travel between both promotions and was largely seen as the catalyst for Rush signing with Ring of Honor. Rush would depart CMLL himself in 2019 and has worked for AAA in Mexico since.
This news comes just days after Taven was announced at appearing at Federación Wrestling event next June. A new player in the Lucha libre scene, Federacion is backed by ROH World Champion and former CMLL star Rush, who will be appearing on the show alongside fellow ROH stars and family members Bestia del Ring and Dragon Lee.
