Ring of Honor gave fans the choice of which classic event should be brought back through a poll on the ROH The Experience Facebook page. They chose Survival of the Fittest. Originating in 2004 and last held in 2018, the tournament is composed of a series of qualifying matches, with the winners meeting in a multi-man elimination match to determine the overall winner. The lone survivor will be rewarded with a future shot at the ROH World Championship. Past winners of Survival of the Fittest include Bryan Danielson, Tyler Black, Jay Lethal and Adam Cole.

Today, on the “ROH Week by Week” show, it was announced the tournament will take place on ROH TV throughout June, beginning in two weeks. The participants are Rey Horus, Flamita, Eli Isom, Dak Draper, Bandido, Tyler Bateman, Brian Johnson, Sledge, Chris Dickinson, O’Shay Edwards, Danhausen, and Rhett Titus. None of these competitors has ever held the ROH World Championship or is currently ranked in the world title picture. The winners of each match will meet in a 6-way elimination match. The winner of the final match will receive a future shot at the ROH World Championship.
