At the end of Season Seven, Emi Sakura started laying the groundwork for a ChocoPro tag league. Now, after a press conference we know the teams involved, the blocks involved and much more as Sakura and co delved deep into the facts of the One-of-a-Kind Tag League. Yes, that is its official name.

The name was decided as it not only reflects the unique nature of ChocoPro and the fact that it will stand out from every other tag tournament around. There is even a hashtag to christen this new digital age tag league, #OOAKTag. Sakura chose the tag as a reference to the Oak Tree and hopes to make the league as everlasting.

As far as the teams are concerned, we have eight teams across two blocks. These are some familiar faces and some surprise combinations made especially for the league. Those are as follows:

Block A:

  • Asia Dream Tag Team Champions: Best Bros (Baliyan Akki & Mei Suruga)
  • Former Tag Champs: Tropikawild (Yuna Mizumori & SAKI)
  • Dragon Ninja (Sayuri & Chon Shiryu)
  • Wasshoi Aniki (Ayumi Hayashi & Ryo Mizunami)

Block B:

  • Egg Tarts (Hagane Shinno & Chie Koishikawa)
  • Mi☆Sayaka (Minoru Fujita & Sayaka)
  • White Comaneci FKA Black Comaneci (Antonio Honda & Tokiko Kirihara)
  • Melt Brain Dancing (PSYCHO & CHANGO)

Alongside the teams, we know the schedule for a lot of the fights. These will take place throughout season eight with a match from each block happening per episode.
