WARNING: STRONG VIOLENCE AHEAD
Welcome back to GCW and the first show of their exploits down in Texas. The outlaws had first made their way to Houston for a little company vs company action against Loko Wrestling. The pair had brought all their big guns for some interesting match-ups in front of an electric crowd. We’d see, Matthew Justice vs Mysterious Q, AJ Gray vs Bryan Keith, Ninja Mack vs Jack Cartwheel, and much much more leading to the main event where Nick Gage, the F’N God of Ultraviolence takes on one of his toughest challenges yet against the unhinged Sadika. Let’s get into the carnage.
Joey Janela defeated Dante Leon via DVD
Up first was Joey Janela putting another GCW star on the rise and title holder of Loko Wrestling through their paces. Joey Janela loves to target the best and now he had set his sights on Dante Leon. Was he going to ground the high-flying physics-defying Leon or was Leon about to steal one of his biggest wins yet? These two found they had a lot in common as they opened like mirror images and both refused to die as the fight took them around the arena. Janela went into match bully mode and tried his best to beat down Leon, curbing any attempts at picking up the pace. Any mistake he made, he quickly corrected and Leon found himself forced to fight up. When he did though, the flips would not stop coming. The momentum of the match continued to shift as Janela found his footing again and the pair kept throwing bombs at each other. Leon proved himself to be nye on unkillable so Janela hit him with a Package Piledriver on the apron. Leon kicked out of that and a diving elbow at one. The DVD followed and that took out Leon. He had given Janela hell in Janela’s first match back post-concussion and showed to everyone just how good he is. What an opener.

Welcome to the mosh pit. Matthew Justice was here to give Texas a taste of SGC madness as he went one-on-one with the monster Luchador, Mysterious Q. This match could go anywhere and bodies could fly anywhere as the master of the air met the master of the militia. Everyone got beer and the pair quickly started fighting. The chaos went everywhere as Q and Justice proved to be perfect opponents. Things got hardcore as chairs and doors entered the fray and both used them willingly as they took to the air to take each other out. Q matched the hardcore environment-breaking style that Justice had brought with him and tried to kill Justice with a rolling DVD on the ramp. Justice broke doors and showed off his flying to as he went Coast to Coast. Q proved he could go one better with a rope-walking cutter through a door and nailed the F16 for two. After more horrifying chair shots Justice picked up the win with a DVD into upturned chairs. This was incredible. These two are perfect opponents with Q really stepping up to match Justice in the crazy department and bringing the hybrid hardcore high-flying with him.
Low Rider defeated Aramis, Gringo Loco, ASF, Arez & Golden Dragon via Springboard Codebreaker on Dragon
The ride was not slowing down any time soon as we got a Lucha six-man scramble next as Low Rider, Aramis, Gringo Loco, ASF, and Golden Dragon all went to war. This went from 0 to 100 fast as bodies flipped, kicked, flew, and hit multiple multi-man combos that had minds blown. The arm-drags alone were insane to watch and that was just to start. No one slouched for a second as the pace wasn’t allowed to drop. The crowd was on their feet in anticipation and probably because they could have to run to the hills if the action came this way. Fragile alliances formed and disintegrated just as quickly as every fighter was a roadblock to be removed. The heat seemed to be no problem for them as the six men put on an essay’s worth of action in a few minutes. This was awesome. The crowd was wild and the action was wilder. It was anyone’s match as there were moves and counters and more moves coming in quick succession until finally, Low Rider nailed Dragon with a springboard codebreaker as everyone else was dead outside after Arez dropped ASF on them with a one-man Spanish Fly. There was money thrown into the ring for this one and rightly so. This was awesome. From start to finish it was just go-go-go levels of action with no slow down and minimal screw-ups. This was wrestling art at its finest.
AJ Gray defeated Bryan Keith via Death by Lariat
Now for something special. AJ Gray and Bryan Keith are two of the hardest-hitting bad men in the wrestling game right now. GCW had finally put them in a ring against each other once again and the magic was going to unfold as the MF’N Truth met the MF’N Bounty Hunter. This was going to get physical. They started off with chain wrestling and quickly started throwing hands. Gray dominated early on as he basked in the crowd’s response and imposed his will on Keith. The fight went outside and Keith got revenge with a DDT into the fan’s chairs. I knew it was going to get vicious but these two reached new levels of violence as they took their brands of strong style to the limit. Between chairs, concrete, and the heavy strikes and kicks, both felt their share of pain and kept on going. They beat the absolute shit out of each other with mercilessly heavy strikes as tempers flared and both men left their marks on the other. This was another one of those matches where the finish could come at any moment and both guys kicked out of pure death. Every show has a must-watch match and this is 100% that. This is an old-school violent classic from two masters of the craft. That final lariat took everything Gray had as he put down one of his toughest opponents yet.
Jimmy Lloyd defeated Chris Carter via Top-Rope Joker Driver

After that heart-stopper of a match, it was time to change tact a bit. Enter Chris Carter and Jimmy Lloyd. The different boy has been on a mission lately, doing whatever he wants and now he was going to get his hands on new prey, Chris Carter. I was unfamiliar with Carter so it was going to be interesting to see what he was capable of. Carter wanted revenge on Lloyd for an earlier attack and now he was running at, flying at, and kicking at Lloyd with a newfound fury. That just pissed off Lloyd though and things got nasty. Plunder was set up and Carter was attacked with some kind of tacked-up implement. Carter kept flying and paid for it as Lloyd caught him into a Teabag Driver on the outside. More plunder got set up and Carter had to keep kicking out as Lloyd tried to kill him. He got too ambitious with a 630 and when he missed Lloyd threw Carter through a door platform with an Awesome Bomb. Carter somehow didn’t die so after more punishment Lloyd finished him with a Joker Driver through a door. Carter impressed the hell out of me here. He seemed able to improvise and adapt against Lloyd and showed off a wide array of flippy fun. Hopefully, I’ll see more of him in the future.
Sam Stackhouse defeated Façade (w/Dani Mo) & Aaron Sykes via Second Rope Moonsault on Sykes

After intermission, we went into a triple-threat melting pot of styles. Sam Stackhouse is an athletic monster of a man; Façade is the resident veteran flippy fighter and Aaron Sykes seemed determined to outshine Façade. This was going to get crazy. Façade really showed off his ring general presence in this one as he took out both guys and tried to keep the pace of the match under his control. He got the better of Sykes and worked with Sykes to keep Stackhouse out of the match. Stackhouse made himself known though once he started hitting flying kicks. This was a 450-pound man flipping like a cruiserweight. Sykes came into it too making sure he could leave a mark and taking the fight to the big man. They all kept colliding and Façade kept showing off. Stackhouse dropped Façade through a door and took out Sykes with a Black Hole Slam and ended things with a second rope Moonsault. This was more wild fun with Stackhouse being the main attraction as a massive mountain of a fighter who can somehow do flips. That’s not to take away from the two incredibly game opponents he had. It was a nice way to ease back into things post-intermission.
Ninja Mack defeated Jack Cartwheel via Spanish Fly Crossface

If you thought the flips were over, you couldn’t be more wrong. The Rocketwheel was back and he was going one-on-one with the other viral master of flips, Ninja Mack. This was going to be a 100% gif match and I was all for it. The fans were completely torn here as they wanted to support both guys as they broke the laws of gravity. The pair had to tangle with slick ropes and high heat as well as each other and it showed as there was some struggling to pull of certain moves. Cartwheel seemed out of it but still soldiered through and the match picked up steam again. It was far from a perfect fight but this was not the right environment for this type of environment for this match and Cartwheel seemed to have been knocked loopy because of it. Ninja Mack even brought out actually Ninja Stars to throw at Cartwheel. Despite its flaws and my concerns for Cartwheel’s health, this kind of worked and the pair managed to go for more than 15 minutes. Hopefully, we’ll see this match run back at some point in a less humid environment. Though for real, that Spanish Fly Crossface rocked.
EFFY defeated Gino Medina via Leverage Pin
Untouchable met Daddy next as Gino Medina returned to GCW and was going to war with EFFY. We’ve been told EFFY is fine but would he be by the end of this match or would he have eaten a Question Mark kick? They started with fast-paced technical wrestling and brought in the Lucha antics as they “flirted” with each other. Medina got pissed and the intensity picked up as EFFY tried to have fun and Medina was having none of it. This was a short and sweet affair but it delivered nicely and the pair got to have some fun. I love seeing Medina back in GCW, well just seeing him in action in general. EFFY had a lot at stake here as Allie Katch was watching, waiting to be impressed ahead of the BUSSY explosion in Dallas. Medina had been vicious but his reliance on cheating bit him in the ass as EFFY dodged Eat Defeat and won with his feet on the ropes. No one likes seeing EFFY cheat but hey, why not play like with like? Medina got screwed a bit here but then again, EFFY was desperate to win here.
GCW World Title Deathmatch: Nick Gage defeated Sadika via Glass Piledriver
Here we go, main event time. The MF’N King was here and he was defending the GCW World Title against one of the most dangerous women in deathmatch. Sadika was here to fight and she was going to push Gage to his limits. This was going to be a fight pure and simple. Sadika interrupted Gage’s introduction so he blasted her with bundles. He cut her up with tubes and speared her through a barbed-wire door. Sadika had to be cut out of the wire so Gage dragged broken door parts across her head. Gage suplexed her onto a door and gave her a gusseting. Sadika fired, back with headbutts and broke a bundle over Gage. She took the fight outside and nailed him with another bundle then broke another inside his shirt with running double knees. Sadika glassed him up and choked him out with a flag. She came at him with a door and had more stuff set up. She opened a pinata full of tacks over the door and took the fight to the stage. They slugged it out and both fell through the door with a Twisting Suplex. The fight returned to ringside as Gage pulled himself along by chairs. The shirt came off and Gage was throwing chops and biting back. Sadika came at Gage with another bundle but he caught it and bust it over her. She took a seat and he launched himself at her with a high crossbody. They slugged it out again and Gage choked Sadika out with his shirt. He broke a bundle with the face wash and stapled her hair to the ring. She was trapped so he broke more bundles with the twisting Vader bomb. The pizza cutter came out as Gage ripped her free of the staples and cut up her head again. Sadika kneed back into the match and slammed Gage onto a barbed-wire door for the twisting bundle breaking splash. That got two so Sadika ripped him free of the wire and Gage found a burst of energy to nail a Superplex. More tubes entered the match and a tube duel broke out. Sadika used her shirt to tie more tubes to Gage and kicked them into Gage. He remained defiant and caught Sadika out of a charge into a Piledriver for the win. This was brutal. Gage was bloody as hell; he had taken a beating here from Sadika and given it back. Real respected real and it gave us a vicious as hell match. This rocked in so many ways. Gage is on the main event run of the century right now. What a show, GCW, and Loko showed the hell out here and everyone won from being on it.
