Right here, right now. Happy Day 217 of 2021. Episode 31 of the year 2021. Time is your ally. If not, make it yours. Time off is a great moment to think, put things into perspective, look at your work with a different eye. Sometimes, pressing pause is necessary. If not, choose to do it. Right here, right now. If you want to be on time, you definitely will need allies.
On the menu this week, from Nashville, Tennessee, Chris Bey will face off Juice Robinson. Rohit Raju, Trey Miguel, Jake Something and Daivari will compete in 4-Way Match to determine the new #1 contender for the X-Division Championship. Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering will team up against Fire ‘N Flava. Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers will square off with Frankie Kazarian, Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

D’Lo Brown and Matt Striker were on commentary. Many vignettes on ‘Homecoming‘ iPPV I chose not to relate here. On ‘Before The Impact’, Crazzy Steve w/ Decay defeated Fallah Bahh w/ No Way (But Not José)

  • Chris Bey w/ Jay White defeated Juice Robinson w/ David Finlay. Bey received his Bullet Club t-shirt.

  • Backstage, Don Callis, then Kenny Omega told Gia Miller they are all on cloud nine until Violent By Design stepped in. Eric Young informed The Good Brothers that his clan is going to use their title rematch clause at Emergence on Friday, August 20. The Good Brothers were speechless.

  • Backstage, Fire ‘N Flava told Gia Miller they are feeling confident as they have patched things up and they look to get on the same page heading into their Knockouts tag team match.

  • The Drama King Matthew Rehwoldt welcomed his Queen Deonna Purrazzo for the Coronation Ceremony. The Virtuosa began the celebration by listing off all the accolades she has accomplished so far in Impact Wrestling. Fans chanted at her, “No one cares.” She shrugged it off. She went back to talking about how she and Rehwoldt are now officially crowned for their hard-fought victories. Just then, Mickie James’ music hit James is on her way down to the ring.

  • James had a contract in hand. Before she could talk, Purrazzo was furious she came out and interrupted her coronation. James said that was not her intention. She was here to make her NWA Empowerrr match official. James informed Purrazzo her title will be on the line and asked her to sign it. Before she could sign it, Purrazzo wanted to know who her opponent is. James said her opponent happened to be here in the building. After Purrazzo saw Melina, she officially signed the contract. Melina did too. Purrazzo formally introduced herself to Melina. She warned her while it’s nice to meet her, she plans on retaining her title. Melina said, similar to how Purrazzo came into Impact and won the title in her first pay-per-view event, she’s going to do the same thing and try to win it on her first try.

  • Backstage, Taylor Wilde told Gia Miller the reason why she was gone for so long from Impact was that someone called immigration on her and reported her as an illegal immigrant. Wilde had her suspicions. She thought it was Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb. This led to Wilde challenging Dashwood to a fight next week.

  • The new Kimber Lee asked Mother Su Yung if she can help deliver souls to her. Yung said to Lee that her time has come.

  • Jake Something defeated Daivari, Rohit Raju w/ Shera, and Trey Miguel to become the new #1 contender for the X-Division Championship.

  • Backstage, Rohit Raju was enraged he lost this match. Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green ran into the frame. Raju almost hit Green with a backpack that was sitting on a chair. Cardona confronted Raju and Shera. Both men said they would never hit a woman. Cardona was not buying it.
  • Backstage, Josh Alexander told Gia Miller he was looking forward to putting his X-Division Championship on the line against Jake Something at Emergence. Daivari interrupted and demanded a title shot, too. Alexander said if he can beat him next week, he might just get a future title shot.

  • Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering defeated Fire ‘N Flava. After the match, Savannah Evans attacked Kiera, Tasha didn’t move.

  • Backstage, Kaz, one of the forefathers of TNA, told Gia Miller he recognizes all the other men and women who have built this promotion. But tonight, he’s ready to rip out the heart of The Elite.

  • At Scott D’Amore’s office, Violent By Design wanted him to know they’re going to use their rematch clause for the tag team titles at Emergence. Rich Swann and Willie Mack wanted the same opportunity. So The Good Brothers will defend it against VBD and Swann & Mack in a Three-Way match at Emergence.

  • Steve Maclin destroyed Jah-C. After the match, he attacked him again and grabbed a chair. Petey Williams came to make the save. Maclin fled when Williams grabbed the chair.
  • In “All About Me,” Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K welcomed Dr Ross Forman. Scott D’Amore came to save Dr Ross and became the guest. D’Amore wanted to talk to Dashwood and Kaleb about Taylor Wilde’s immigration scare. Wilde informed D’Amore that she would drop the charges against them if Dashwood would face Wilde next week. D’Amore also asked Dashwood if Madison Rayne knows she took her set. Dashwood was just stunned.

  • Backstage, Chris Sabin told Gia Miller he will take part in the Battle Royal next week. He heard that Moose will be in it, too. Sabin’s plan is to take Moose’s title opportunity away from him.

  • Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan and Kazarian defeated IMPACT World Champion Kenny Omega & IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers. After the match, W. Morrissey attacked Eddie Edwards and hit a powerbomb in the middle of the ring.

The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week

– Jake Something vs Daivari vs Rohit Raju vs Trey Miguel

Trey started off hot with a moonsault to the outside. Daivari and Rohit joined the action. Jake hit a running crossbody, flooring everyone. Jake hit a spear in the corner to Trey and tried the same on Rohit. He dodged it, sending Jake in the corner. Rohit and Trey traded shots before Trey applied a sharpshooter variation. Daivari got caught with a Scorpion kick from Trey. Jake ate a jumping knee from Rohit. Daivari hit a dropkick but Jake Something floored him with a Black Hole Slam for the win.

The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”

I’m sick of the Forbidden Door… I’m sick of talking about wrestlers who are not from IMPACT. I’m super disappointed because I won’t be able to interact anymore with the Twitch community every Thursday night. Don’t think I’m old-school or reluctant to change, I’m just a Nygma…

The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts/Awards of the Week

– Jake Something

If someone deserved a shot at the X-Division Championship, it was Jake Something. I was told there’s a story behind his name and I can’t wait for him to say it to me. Since the team’s split, both Deaner and Something have been absolutely impressive. One has taken a walk on the bad side, and that fits him so well. The other has proved match after match the gold was something ha could not only chase but win.

– Kazarian

Yes, I said I was sick of the Forbidden Door… Kazarian is AEW now but his speech was very interesting and reminded all of us that past, present and future are made of the same wood. Forefathers and trailblazers still have some things to say, to prove, to wrestle. At least when it comes to Impact Wrestling…

Emergence

A Friday night, just after IMPACT… I will take some time off back soon…

To be eNYGMAtic…

Before talking about the show, I just want you to take the whole thing, remove every segment involving someone from AEW, NWA and NJPW. What remains purely IMPACT? Like I said in my time-off rewind, that’s becoming very complicated to give an opinion on the show when it involves that many companies and people. I’m also not a fan of belt collecting, which makes me target two people specifically.
If we take what was IMPACT in the show, the 4-Way was good. With Kiera Hogan leaving, the end of Fire ‘N Flava was predictable. Kimber’s Undead Character is deliciously scary. There’s a load of storylines in the making. That’s good and that is IMPACT. That sentence, you will read it again, again, and again…
On this “Nygma Is Back” note, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, go get vaccinated, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
