A message from Impact Wrestling

“We are aware of Mr Laughlin’s (Tommy Dreamer) comments on “Dark Side of the Ring”.
The views expressed by him in the interview are completely unacceptable.
We can confirm Mr Laughlin was suspended this morning with immediate effect, pending further action.”

Right here, right now. Happy Day 259 of 2021. Episode 37. Right here, right now. “A long time ago we used to be friends. But I haven’t thought of you lately at all. If ever again a greeting I send to you. Short and sweet to the soul I intend.” Right here, right now. The line between friendship and hate is so thin…
On the menu, this week, from Nashville, Tennessee, TJP will face off Petey Williams. Laredo Kid and John Skyler will compete in a rematch of last week’s BTI. Decay and Violent By Design will square off. Trey Miguel will meet the Drama King Matt Rehwoldt. Team Cage (Impact World Champion Christian Cage, X Division Champion Josh Alexander, Eddie Edwards, Chris Sabin & Sami Callihan) will face off Team Austin (Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Moose, Brian Myers, & W. Morrissey) in a 10-Man Match. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

D’Lo Brown and Josh Mathews were on commentary. On ‘Before The Impact’, Fallah Bahh & No Way defeated Hernandez & Johnny Swinger. After the match, Su Yung, Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren took one of Johnny’s Swingerellas with them.

  • Decay (Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus) defeated Violent by Design (Deaner & Rhino). After the match, EY was frustrated with Rhino, causing Deaner to lay Rhino out.

  • At Swinger’s Palace, Alisha Edwards was concerned for Johnny Swinger heading into Bound For Glory. Since the show will take place in Las Vegas, she didn’t think Swinger will bank any profit there. TJP was there to collect his money after making a bet last week. Petey Williams was mad TJP placed a bet on his match last week. Williams promised he’s going to kick his ass later tonight.

  • Backstage, each member of Team Cage told Gia Miller he is confident they will walk out the victors before their individually scheduled matches on Saturday at Victory Road.

  • Petey Williams defeated TJP. After the match, Steve Maclin ran to the ring and took out both Petey and TJP.

  • Backstage, Karl Anderson was healing up well following his Bunkhouse Brawl with Rich Swann last week. The Good Brothers told Gia Miller they are stoked because they don’t think Swann and Willie Mack will be ready in time to face them for their titles on Saturday. Little do they know that Swann and Mack are here, and they’re ready to give it to them all night long.

  • Gia Miller quickly caught up with Rich Swann and Willie Mack after their retaliation on The Good Brothers. Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore gave Swann and Mack their tag team title match on Saturday.

  • John Skyler defeated Laredo Kid. He tried to rip off his mask.

  • It’s All About Me with Tenille Dashwood – The Influence (Tenille Dashwood, Madison Rayne and Kaleb) was joined by Taylor Wilde, Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. Wilde asked some hard-hitting questions that caused The Influence to get very irritated. Wilde proposed a match with Dashwood for Saturday. Dashwood didn’t look too excited for this contest.

  • Backstage, Matt Cardona attacked Rohit Raju backstage, forcing D’Amore to make their match at Victory Road No DQ.

  • Trey Miguel defeated Drama King Matthew Rehwoldt.

After the match, Deonna Purrazzo hit a Nutcracker on Trey but Mickie James made the save. They brawled before Mickie took Deonna out.

  • Backstage, after hijacking Decay’s Knockouts Tag Team Championship, Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans said they never stole the titles. Steelz said if anything, Havok and Rosemary took the titles from her. She told them if they want their titles back, they better come find them on Saturday.

  • Backstage, Hikuleo will join forces with Chris Bey to take on FinJuice on Saturday. Bey and Hikuleo looked forward to putting FinJuice down for good.

  • Team Cage (Impact World Champion Christian Cage, X Division Champion Josh Alexander, Eddie Edwards, Chris Sabin & Sami Callihan) defeated Team Austin (Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Moose, Brian Myers, & W. Morrissey) when Alexander hit a C4 on Myers.

The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week

– 10-Man Tag Team Match

Sami Callihan and Ace Austin kicked things off. Callihan came charging in and strangled Austin’s eyes. In the corner, Callihan stomped away on Austin before bringing Josh Alexander in with a tag. Alexander worked over Austin. Alexander made a tag on Eddie Edwards. Edwards continued softening Austin up for Callihan as he made his return back in. Austin backed himself towards his corner during their lockup. Austin made a tag. Then, all 10 men were standing across the ring from each other.

Back from the break, everyone was brawling and heading outside of the ring. Ace Austin worked on Sami Callihan with stomps. Moose turned his attention on Josh Alexander. Christian Cage grabbed hold of Madman Fulton. Callihan threw Austin back into the ring. Callihan landed a nice punch on Austin as he was dropping off from the second rope. Sam Beale ran in and got planted with a Cactus Special ’97 from Callihan. Madman Fulton became the legal man. Callihan escaped out of Fulton’s reach, following a top rope bulldog.

Josh Alexander came in for Callihan briefly before Chris Sabin was tagged in. Sabin connected with a missile dropkick from off the top. The fans wanted Chrisitan Cage to come in. Sabin made the tag to him. Austin refused to tangle with Cage and tagged Fulton in on his behalf. Cage was having a good time throwing Fulton off his game. Eddie Edwards came and joined in on the fun. Moose got a tag from Fulton. Edwards caught Moose with an inverted atomic drop. Moose sent Edwards out of the ring with a perfect dropkick.

Back from the final break, Brian Myers was having control over Eddie Edwards with a tight headlock. Madman Fulton came back in following a tag from Myers. Fulton maintained control of Edwards before W. Morrissey made his way into this fight. Morrissey dragged Edwards around. Austin was tagged in, landed a power move on Edwards. Myers came in with a gator roll. Morrissey stepped back in and continued cutting the ring off from Edwards. Morrissey connected with a nice elbow drop.

Morrissey refused to let Edwards have any offence in this bout. Morrissey hit a foot chokehold in the corner. Edwards climbed to the top and rocked Morrissey with a dropkick. Edwards tagged in Christian Cage. Brian Myers was also in, climbed on top and hammered down top rope punches on Cage. Cage continued the onslaught with a frog splash. Moose and Callihan came into the ring. Callihan bit Moose’s hand and landed a short back kick.

Sabin and Austin joined the fray. Sabin ended Austin in a daze with some combination offence. Just as Cage came in and looked to seal the deal with his Killswitch, Austin hit a blind NutCracker on Cage. After Eddie Edwards caught everyone with a superplex on the outside, flattening everyone, Alexander ended the match right with a C4 Spike on Brian Myers for the win.

The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”

And no… For once, crystal clear… (I know, it’s super disappointing…)

The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts/Awards of the Week

– Violent By Design

As soon as he screamed “help” from his cell, I think Rhino’s fate was sealed. Eric Young has zero weaknesses, as Deaner and Doering. BUT, because some media announced that Rhino signed a new contract and Heath is getting better and better, we can imagine the story is not ready to end soon…

Knockouts Knockdown

TNA/Impact Wrestling have been pioneers, trailblazers,  well always ahead of their time. Right in 2013, the Knockouts had their own PPV. From 2013 to 2017, women had their show they would share with guys but only for intergender matches. We learnt on Monday, thanks to Gail Kim and Christy Hemme, that the PPV was back as an Impact Plus special on October 6. All the roster will be there, but also Mercedes Martinez, Lady Frost and Renee Michelle. Melissa Santos will be the ring announcer, Veda Scott and Mickie James will be at the announcer’s table. Of course, it’s fantastic but because of the company and the way it has always given women a chance, I will say this is normal and absolutely well-deserved.

Victory Road

The card is complete and it rocks… See you on Sunday for the complete results and review…

To be eNYGMAtic…

As a go-home episode, meant to end the build-up to Victory Road, no problem, I say yes. Many, too many backstage segments even if they were necessary. The main event could have turned into a big mess, it was not the case. It even was a great match. Between the Oh Canada, Deonna on Trey and Austin on Cage, it was a NutCracker party, thank you very much to all of you…
Then, Bound For Glory is coming soon, 5 weeks. And I asked myself where we are going. There are some clues, nicely insinuated. Don’t forget the PPV is a 4-company one… We’ll see where we go in the coming weeks as Impact Wrestling is taping this weekend. The next 5 weeks will be stacked with Knockouts Knockdown, all the BTI and weekly episodes. This means a lot of reviews to come (sigh)…
On this “Nygma Did Better, She Said It” note, until Victory Road, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, go get vaccinated, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
