Right here, right now. Happy Day 266 of 2021. Episode 38. Right here, right now. “Dream, if you can, a courtyard. An ocean of violets in bloom. Animals strike curious poses. They feel the heat. The heat between me and you.” Right here, right now. The Road to Victory, to Glory, to Fame, is a Road to Hell. Don’t burn your wings while riding on it. Unless you’re bound for success.
On the menu, this week, from Las Vegas, Nevada, Hikuleo will face off David Finlay. Rohit Raju will square off with Chelsea Green one-on-one. We’ll hear from Mickie James after her brawl with Deonna Purrazzo last week and Josh Alexander who cashed in Option C at Victory Road last Saturday. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

D’Lo Brown and Matt Striker were on commentary. On ‘Before The Impact’, Laredo Kid defeated John Skyler in a rubber match.

  • In the ring, Executive Vice-President Scott D’Amore recapped Josh Alexander cashing in Option C at Victory Road. Alexander will officially drop his title tonight to face Christian Cage at Bound For Glory.

  • “The Walking Weapon” made his way to the ring. Before he lets go of his X-Division title, D’Amore wanted to make sure he wants to do this. If he does, an X-Division Tournament will begin next week to crown a new champion. Alexander said if there’s one thing he has learned in his career is not to regret his choices. His goal is to become the face of this company. To do that, he needs the Impact World Championship. Seconds after making that statement, Christian Cage made his way down to the ring.

  • Cage stated that after being on the shelf for seven years, he wants to continue his redemption story by holding on to the World Championship for as long as he can. Cage asked Alexander how can he be so sure he’ll be the next champion? The champion warned Alexander he’ll just be another face in the crowd if he were to lose. Alexander was all for taking a gamble on himself, so he handed over his former X-Division Championship. Ace Austin and Madman Fulton arrived.

  • Austin criticized Alexander’s choice to let go of his championship. Alexander reminded him he took the title off of him at Rebellion this past April. Cage, Alexander, Austin and Madman Fulton started brawling. Austin and Fulton gained the upper hand in. Austin’s cane shot hit Cage. He and Fulton retreated to the stage.

  • Backstage, Rich Swann and Willie Mack told Gia Miller they aren’t happy with losing their Tag Team Title shot at Victory Road but they want their next shot. Mack wanted to be in the X-Division Title tournament and Swann the Call Your Shot gauntlet match. Brian Myers came to say he’s in the gauntlet as well, but he whined so much that a tag match was set for later tonight.

  • Backstage, Christian Cage’s eye was checked by Dr Ross. D’Amore refused to let him compete but he gave Josh Alexander a match against Ace Austin tonight.

  • David Finlay w/ “Macho Man” Juice Robinson defeated Hikuleo w/ Chris Bey. After the match,  Hikuleo attacked Finlay, they brawled, FinJuice stood tall. Bey was set for a Doomsday Device but El Phantasmo showed up to turn the odds in favour of Bullet Club so the Club stood tall after he superkicked Finlay.

  • Violent by Design promo, Young said Rhino understands that last week wasn’t an expulsion. Violence is the only thing the sickness understands, and that Rhino can learn from his mistakes and apologize then move forward. Rhyno can be stronger and better, he can be the War Machine again. When you join something like this, it’s forever, not a fad or a phase. Young asked him to decide, to do the right thing, to think about how he compromised them and made them do this to him. Everything up to now is Rhino’s creation, and now they need an answer from him next week.

  • Backstage, Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green were with Gia Miller. Cardona said he did what he said he would do at Victory Road and put Shera out indefinitely as a bonus, but he’s done with Rohit now. Green wasn’t done though, Rohit took her out for a few weeks, but she’s back and is about to get her retribution after this break.

  • Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren handed Su Yung a belt worn by one of the Swingerellas. Another soul collected but Su seemed unhappy.

  • Rohit Raju w/ Shera defeated Chelsea Green w/ Matt Cardona, thanks to a returning Raj Singh.

  • Backstage, Sami Callihan came up to Eddie, offering to still be on his side as they head out to deal with W. Morrisey and Moose. Callihan asked the cameraman to follow them as they walked off. Moments later, Eddie was using a kendo stick on Moose, they brawled just the two of them before Callihan showed up with a bat and they beat the crap out of Moose. Eddie wanted to know where Morrisey was, Moose didn’t know and Callihan and Eddie headed off to look for Morrisey.

  • On his way to the ring, Brian Myers said his lackeys are too green to be in this match, and so he brought out his partner, VSK.

  • Rich Swann and Willie Mack defeated Brian Myers and VSK (w/The Learning Tree – Sam Beale & Zicky Dice), thanks to Dice and Beale’s interferences.

  • At Swinger’s Palace, Johnny Swinger is starting to have doubts about hosting his casino at Bound For Glory in Las Vegas. Swinger decided to just ask D’Amore to not go and dictated a letter inviting D’Amore to his casino and signing it JJ Dillon.

  • Backstage, The Good Brothers were drinking wine and enjoying their vacation. They deserved this because they’ve beaten every team put in front of them. It doesn’t matter who climbs to the next contender spot, they’re still getting a Magic Killer and getting pinned.

  • Mickie James comes out to the ring and recapped her rivalry with Deonna Purrazzo. James asked the Knockouts Champion to come and talk to her face-to-face.

  • Deonna Purrazzo thought James has a lot of nerve to call her down to the ring after assaulting her last week. James didn’t care. In fact, she said she can see right through her. James puts an offer on the table, she wants a shot at the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory. Purrazzo knows she’s untouchable, and everyone wants a piece of her. She rejected the offer, saying she earned her respect to the top. Whereas James hasn’t yet.

  • Both women dropped their mics and fired out shots. Security came out to split these two up. Scott D’Amore came out and said James does deserve a title shot. Therefore, he made the match for Bound For Glory.

  • Backstage, Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan continued to wander with weapons. They found Morrissey and threatened to break his legs, but a swarm of security stopped that before it can happen. D’Amore said next week there will be a Street Fight to settle this. Morrissey maliciously inquired about the health of Eddie’s wife.

  • Backstage, Gail Kim told Gia Miller there will be a tournament at Knockouts Knockdown, featuring an 8-woman tournament with four Knockouts and four from elsewhere. The winners will get a Knockouts Title match, but here was the Influence. Madison Rayne thought they should get a Knockouts Tag Team Title shot, but Kim said they have to beat Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace next week.

  • X-Division tournament announcement.

  • Josh Alexander defeated Ace Austin w/ Madman Fulton.

  • After the match, Fulton came in to stomp on Alexander. Christian Cage came in for the save and helped clear the ring but Alexander wasn’t pleased. Fulton and Austin came back in to jump the good guys until Christopher Daniels made a surprise return for the save and cleared the ring to end the show. Daniels, Cage, and Alexander stared each other down for a bit.

The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week

– Josh Alexander vs Ace Austin w/ Madman Fulton

Austin bailed into the corner to start. Alexander drove him up against the ropes for a clean break but Fulton tripped Alexander from the floor. That didn’t seem to bother Alexander, who snapped off a T-Bone suplex to send Austin outside. Austin jumped up to the apron where he got caught with a quickly broken ankle lock. Back in, Alexander hit a delayed vertical suplex but a Fulton distraction let Austin get in a kick to the head. After the break, Austin was grabbing the chinlock with bodyscissors. That was reversed into a quickly broken ankle lock so Austin hit a belly-to-back slam. Alexander popped up with a German suplex and Austin was rocked again. A running big boot dropped Austin but the C4 Spike attempt was broken up. Instead, Alexander unloaded some German suplexes (Alexander’s City…) until Austin grabbed the rope for a break. Another C4 Spike attempt was broken up and Austin hit a neckbreaker. Alexander knocked him to the apron for a suicide dive to the back, sending them both outside. Back in, Austin hit a superkick to knock Alexander off the apron and outside onto Fulton. The Fold was countered into a powerbomb onto the knee though. Alexander hit the C4 Spike for the win.

The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”

I took the time last week to watch the episodes I missed while I took time off to undergo surgery (July 22 and 29 ones). To see Juice Robinson making his way to the ring jumping like a rabbit made me cry laugh. And it seemed like David Finlay didn’t know about it because he was looking at him with a giant smile on his face. All of this to say I have criticized “The Forbidden Door,” rightfully I think, but FinJuice really are a great team, funny and talented. Just because of them, I agree to let “The Door” ajar.

The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts/Awards of the Week

– Sami Callihan

Neither Sami nor the company has confirmed the news as of today but, if true, six months without Sami Callihan’s swearing, bad mood, middle fingers, spittings, grumpiness, and baseball bats will be hell. He has become a very important part of the show and the company. If the injury rumours are true, all I can wish him is a speedy recovery.

– Christopher Daniels

He hadn’t come to the Impact Zone for 7 years. His comeback stunned everyone in the arena or watching on TV because Christopher Daniels is a TNA/Impact Wrestling legend. Then, what is The Fallen Angel looking for? A match or two, obviously. A title shot, probably…

Knockouts Knockdown

We barely know about the card of this iPPV. There will be a tournament, as Gail Kim announced, Lady Frost and Mercedes Martinez will compete, the Knockouts Tag Team Titles will be defended.

Bound For Glory

Four weeks before the PPV and that will be huge…

To be eNYGMAtic…

It was at the same time a fallout from Victory Road and the beginning of Bound For Glory build-up. A bit messy, but good. When Raj Singh and El Phantasmo are back, when Christopher Daniels comes back, you start to feel that the stakes will be high, very high.
Don’t forget BFG is supposed to be a multi-promotion PPV, with Impact Wrestling, AEW, NJPW, Lucha Libre AAA, and I think we can add NWA now. I like when things are going on IMPACT. If they can keep it up, we could be in for another strong month. With Knockouts Knockdown in 2 weeks and Bound For Glory in 4 weeks, all the BTI and weekly episodes, this means a lot of reviews to come… and probably interviews…
On this “Nygma Loves It When a Plan Comes Together” note, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, go get vaccinated, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
