WARNING: STRONG VIOLENCE AND LANGUAGE AHEAD
If there’s one thing ICW has always been good at, it’s been rolling with the punches. The company has always found a way to overcome adversity to put on its shows. The weather was against the company so the circus moved indoors and the promised matches entered the Pit! The next round of fights to take place would see the return of Jake Crist as he battled Atticus Cogar, the debut of Larry D against Justin Kyle, Mickie Knuckles battling the Kirks, and much more leading to the main event title fight where the Deathmatch Jackass Dale Patricks takes his shot at the duke, claiming his ICW American Deathmatch Title shot. Let’s get into the carnage and see who was left standing.
Atticus Cogar defeated Jake Crist via Brain Haemorrhage through a door
Up first tonight was the Silver Teeth Satan Atticus Cogar going to war with his own state as he took on Ohio’s own Jake Crist. The artist had been drafted in to fight and he was going to kick Cogar’s ass if given the chance. Though the fuck Ohio chants were going to put both fighters off this time. They started with a standoff and promised to disarm, Cogar instantly breaking that promise to push Crist through a door. Cogar hammered Crist around the Pit and brained him with a seated Conchairto. The abuse continued with pelted doors but this woke Crist up and he lashed out with fists and kicks. Despite the fact that he was beating up a 44OH! member, Crist couldn’t win part of the crowd over which seemed to be messing with him. He fired a warning shot at the crowd then drove Cogar and a chair neck-first into a railing. Cogar escaped a face-lock with a jawbreaker but Crist was right back on him with more eye-gouging and a Gutbuster across the railing. He sent Cogar back to the floor with a Guillotine Leg Drop and reversed the Air Raid Crash to land a schoolboy and Door-VD. Cogar countered another pick-up and drove Crist through another door with the Air Raid Crash. He got distracted by the crowd so Crist drilled him with a kendo stick. He went for a decapitator but Cogar ducked and kicked him in the cock. The Brain Haemorrhage followed and the match was done. Cogar had bested Crist and flown the flag for his brand of Ohio violence. Cogar had started the winning path for 44OH! with this fun little personality clash. Would they keep that streak going? Fuck 44OH! Count: 1
Justin Kyle defeated Larry D via Chain Choke Murder

— Tripping Balls (@IsThisWrestling) October 3, 2021
The Best Hand in the House was up next as Larry D made his ICW debut and introduce that best fist in the house to Justin Kyle’s face. Kyle is 2-0 in his home state, could he make it 3-0 by taking out another contender? The ball was in the Super-Fight Beast’s court now. D wasn’t here to make friends; he was just here to fight. Kyle opened with a Superman Punch but D just shook it off and started throwing hands. Kyle unleashed a flurry of forearms and a high knee that dazed D but he was right back into action and floored Kyle with a stiff elbow. He shit-canned Kyle through a door and bludgeoned him with the broken pieces, knocking him over the railing. However, Kyle wasn’t having it and flew over the railing with a Superman Dive to put D through a door. It was his turn to break doors on D and let him get up for another round of knuckles and elbows to the jaw. D made the mistake of going for chops and got body-slammed onto a chair for it. Like the monster he is though, D shook this off and crushed Kyle with a Curb Stomp. He went for the kill by choking Kyle with his chain but Kyle threw him over, wrapped the chain around his neck, and pummelled him until he was KO’ed. Kyle had gone 3-0 but D had come dangerously close to murdering him throughout their fight. If that’s not an indicator he should come back, I don’t know what is. This was pure old-school violence at its finest.
Neil Diamond Cutter defeated Eddy Only via Power Glove Chokeslam
He’s back. Eddy Only continued his return tour with a stop in ICW. He was going one-on-one with Neil Diamond Cutter and the crowd wouldn’t even let him speak. We know Only always says the nicest things so why wouldn’t they let him talk? This was his turn to keep the 44OH! ball rolling, all he had to do was beat the Honey Badger, easier said than done. The smokes came out and the pair ran around the Pit. The circling continued with lock-ups around the railings and both got dizzy as hell so they took a seat. The pair hugged it out and lit up another Marlboro for a barfight. Cutter powered up with a flurry but Only just went to the eyes and put the cigarette out on Cutter’s neck. Only chopped away at Cutter and used his hand to flip off Ron Niemi. Cutter tried to fire back again but Only just side-stepped and watch him fly through a door. The pair found power gloves and Infinity Gauntlets so they entered a punch-out as Only mocked how fake it all was. The glove powered up Cutter and he unleashed a Violence party on Only before ending things with a Chokeslam through a door. Cutter had fought through the smoke-style destruction of Only and came out with another win. This was a damn funny little match with Only doing what he does best again. It was a nice change of tone and an enjoyable little romp around the Pit. 44OH! Fucked Count: 1
Mickie Knuckles defeated Brandon Kirk (w/Kasey Kirk) via Knee Strike KO
ICW’s favourite couple was out next as The Kirks came out in all their Mariah Carey-infused glory. They had toppled a local hockey icon and now, they were looking to upset the Queen of Deathmatch, Mickie F’N Knuckles. Kirk had certainly had his share of scraps but he was wearing fewer wounds than Knuckles so he had the numbers and vitality advantage here. it had originally been Danny Demanto vs the Kirks but he was going to let Knuckles have the fun. Brandon tried to run when he saw her coming but there was no escape from this one. Before the fight even happened, we saw Demanto and Knuckles squash an old beef so this was going to be a feel-good fight. The crowd was hyped so Brandon quietened them down for an important announcement, POCKET SAND right into Knuckles’ eyes. He assaulted Knuckles with a kendo stick and chairs then woke her up with a trashcan lid to the head. Knuckles told him to bring it and the pair slugged it out. Knuckles gave him the plunder treatment and stunned him with a punch for a tack bat to the head and back. Kasey caused a distraction so Brandon could find his breath and attack again with the kendo stick. He went at Knuckles with a tack bat but found it had no use, so cut her up with one of her battle-axes instead. Knuckles crashed through a door and Kirk raked at her eyes to keep control. Then he went for a low blow and fucked everything up. Knuckles trapped his arm between her thighs and smacked him in the mouth. This prompted Kasey to try a low kick, that too saw her foot get trapped and put her through the door with an overhead belly to belly. Brandon tried to throw more sand but Knuckles caught his hand and launched it back at him. She launched him into Kasey and smashed his head into her again with a Curb Stomp. She kept throwing knees and Kirk went out like a light. Knuckles had caused a bit of Kirk-on-Kirk violence and taken the win. Demanto had been right to trust her as she got the job done and made it fun as hell to watch.
AKIRA defeated Bobby Beverly via Guardrail Triangle Cutting
Payback is always a bitch so this one should be incredibly violent. If that wasn’t clear from the fighters, it was from the fuckery on offer. AKIRA nearly beat the Bev in July but he was screwed so now, it would be a murder in the Pit as the pair fought again. it opened with a hockey fight and the pair put the block on the other’s attempts at a strip door throw. The pair moved to bundles and collided in an explosion of glass and spooky dust. AKIRA fared better and tossed another bundle to Beverly for a Koppu Kick. He carved Beverly with broken tubes and ran right into a pop-up knee. Beverly kept going with multiple throws into the strip door and moved towards another door for another Suplex but AKIRA reversed into a Northern Lights through it. AKIRA threw a chair to Beverly and the pair battled it out. AKIRA won and kept swinging chair shots into Beverly’s back and Beverly did the same with chairs to the head. AKIRA countered a Door-VD into a choke so Beverly sacrificed himself to throw them both through a strip door. Beverly stabbed him in the head with another broken tube and tried to muscle through AKIRA’s Octopus but it turned into a guardrail Triangle and another tube to the head. Beverly passed out and AKIRA was declared the winner. He had fought off the power moves and the abuse to put the Bev to sleep. There were no distractions this time and AKIRA efficiently put Bev out for the count. Revenge is a dish best served in glass and carpet strips apparently. 44OH! Fucked Count: 2
Eric Ryan defeated Sadika via Headbutt KO
Now, this is a marquee fight. The undisputed King of the Deathmatch vs La Reyna Extrema. When this fight was announced, the deathmatch world held its breath, now we’d be seeing it in the Pit whilst Sadika battled through a broken arm. That wasn’t stopping her so Ryan had better be ready to fight because Sadika would kill him otherwise. With it being October, Ryan was rocking the pink Breast Cancer Awareness gear. They had glass on their knuckles and a crowd ready for blood. Ryan acted like a gentleman and put an arm behind his back. He threw out jabs then made the mistake of turning his back on Sadika, who struck him with a mid-kick and unleashed furious punches. She rammed him into a guardrail and tried to choke him out with a head-scissor but Ryan punched her into her legs. Sadika kept mauling Ryan and clawed his balls against a railing. The tubes came out and both fighters felt the sting of glass. Ryan took Sadika on a smashing tour of the pit as he threw her into tubes, smashed them off her head, giving the crowd a show with tube headbutts and punches. Of course, all that just woke Sadika up and she went tube wild on Ryan, winding him with tube double knees and a shanking. Both fighters fired up again and just blasted each other with tubes, fists, and chops. Ryan teed off on her with headbutts and broke more tubes with them until the ref dragged him away. Sadika was out but she’d made Ryan bleed buckets with a broken freaking arm. This was wild for what it was and somewhere down the line, I wouldn’t be surprised if these two re-visit this matchup for an even crazier chapter.
ICW American Deathmatch Title: John Wayne Murdoch defeated Dale Patricks via Brainbuster
DEATH TO THE DUKE! @DalePatricks is here for that fuckin belt! #ThePit5 pic.twitter.com/BXRt8lzKQD
— Tripping Balls (@IsThisWrestling) October 3, 2021
Dale Patricks has gone from Jackass to contender over the months and now here he stands before John Wayne Murdoch, ready to fight and take that American Deathmatch Title home with him. The Pit was full of fuckery and the pair were more than ready to tear each other apart for the title. Murdoch got the crowd going and Patricks brained him with a pane of glass. He lit Murdoch up with punches and kept breaking tubes across his back and head. Murdoch booted back and stunned Patricks with a bundle to the head. He threw Patricks into the entranceway and Patricks threw him through a table with a DVD. Murdoch dragged himself over the railing and collapsed to the floor so Patricks crushed him again with a splash. He broke more tubes on Murdoch and Murdoch pelted him with an invincible glass pane. He threw more bundles and the pair kept abusing each other with whatever wasn’t nailed down. Murdoch tried for the Brainbuster but Patricks chokeslammed him through a table and nailed the Running Powerslam through a second. He tried for a Piledriver but Murdoch rolled through into a pin and ate a second Piledriver onto the dirt floor. Patricks cockily teased the Brainbuster so Murdoch got him with a Small Package and sent them both into a barbed-wire door for some mutually assured destruction. They duelled with more tubes and chopped it out until Murdoch could take the win with the Brainbuster. Patricks had bloodied, beaten, and cut the hell out of him but as always, The King of the company remains the king again. Murdoch had all the respect in the world for the challenger and after praising him as the future champ he could be, turned his attention to Eric Ryan once again. The continuous thorn in his side, the problem he can’t quite get rid of. He posed the ultimate solution, a 60-minute deathmatch. I guess we know what could be coming next.
What Happens Next?
- Larry D proved to be prime ICW material and with all the successful debuts over the weekend, I hope to see the new blood mix with the regulars to keep ICW feeling fresh. The fights, matches, and deathmatches can always use new contenders and we saw a wealth of new match opportunities across the three shows. The company is still desperately trying to find someone who can stop Justin Kyle.
- Somehow, I doubt this is the last we’ve seen of Sadika in ICW. Hopefully, she heals up that arm and comes back to give us more of her unique and scary brand of violence. There are unfinished tales to be told with Mickie Knuckles and Eric Ryan.
- A 60-minute deathmatch. ICW has held only one before and it garnered mixed results. Now, Murdoch wants to do another with his arch-nemesis, Eric Ryan. If there are two people who could build on the first one and make it even better, it’s those two. Looks like 44OH! vs The Rejects is heating up again. We saw both factions pick up two wins tonight so they’re as even as they can be right now. How long will that last though? We’ll find out at the Deathmatch Horror Story and in Tennessee where a real Monster debuts…
to a nicer gal, it couldn't happen @Ericryanpro #ThePit5 pic.twitter.com/P7sQaww55Z
