Following his match against Josh Alexander this past Sunday at Destiny World Wrestling in Toronto, Canada, “Speedball” Mike Bailey was signed to an IMPACT Wrestling contract by IMPACT Executive Vice President, Scott D’Amore Hailing from Quebec, Bailey is one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling today. After honing his skills against some of the sport’s top names, Bailey now brings his athletic, high-flying offence to the Impact Wrestling roster.

Some would say, after watching the video below, that they might have seen that before, and they would be right. In February 2019, in the same Don Kolov Arena in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, in another Destiny World Wrestling show, Scott D’Amore changed the life of Josh Alexander by offering him a contract and giving him the chance to be now a Triple Crown Champion on Impact Wrestling. This time, Alexander kindly offered his back to allow Bailey to sign the contract D’Amore offered him last Sunday night.

The Quebecois-born Mike Bailey, 31, is a master of Taekwondo and has been wrestling since 2006. He worked for many Quebec-based promotions before wrestling his first matches in Canada and USA. In 2014, he took part in most of the CZW shows. The year after, he would debut with PWG, EVOLVE and Lucha Libre AAA in Mexico. In 2016, he made his European debut in the UK with RevPro and PCW, wXw and AMBITION in Deutschland. He then worked for DDT Pro in Japan all along 2016 and 2017. Since 2017, Bailey has been working between Canada, Japan and Europe at a constant rhythm. The list of wrestlers he has competed against or teamed up with is absolutely mind-blowing. A certain Nygma just can’t wait to see him in the Impact Zone very soon…
