Welcome back to ChocoPro Wrestling. It’s time to say goodbye to season ten so we’re ending things with another bumper-sized weekend of wrestling. Firstly, there would be #179 where Egg Tarts were back working together against Masahiro Takanashi and Sayaka Obihiro and in the main event, Baliyan Akki and Yuna Mizumori prepared to give Chris Brookes and his long-time friend Drew Parker a tropical welcome. Then, in #180, we had four matches with even more returns and debuts. Yuna Mizumori battles Tokiko Kirihara, Tiger Jeet Shinjuku debuts against Sayaka Obihiro, Rina Yamashita returns for a slugfest with Sayaka and in the final main even of season 10, Baliyan Akki and Chie Koishikawa do battle with Super Asia Champion Chon Shiryu and Shin Suzuki. Let’s get into this colossal set of cards.
ChocoPro #179
Egg Tarts (Chie Koishikawa & Hagane Shinno) defeated Masahiro Takanashi & Sayaka Obihiro via Gedo Clutch on Obihiro
Up first, we’d see how Egg Tarts would do after beating the hell out of each other last week. The pair are one of ChocoPro’s strongest teams and that would be put to the test again as they would be dealing with Masahiro Takanashi and Sayaka Obihiro. It would be chop vs chop for this one. Shinno and Obihiro opened with a cagey standoff and dodged around each other until Shinno could unleash some knees. They tagged and Takanashi and Koishikawa got to chain wrestling. Obihiro tried to cause a distraction but only got in Takanashi’s way, leading to him getting an Egg Tarts beatdown. Takanashi thought he had forced a break but Koishikawa chased him down to deliver a Demon Chop and Shinno picked up the slack with a standing Moonsault. Obihiro tried to match Koishikawa again as she took Takanashi on a run and ended running away from the studio, leaving him to fend for himself. Takanashi finally created some separation with a Neckbreaker on Shinno and made the tag to Obihiro. She came in chopping and brought Takanashi back in after he’d had a breather. He unleashed a hellacious combo on Shinno and was promptly flattened with an Axe Hammer. Koishikawa kept the punishment going with more chops and a dropkick then avoided an Obihiro throat thrust to apply a leg lock and the muffler. Takanashi also escaped her with a Neckbreaker and watched as Obihiro and Koishikawa had a chop-fest. Koishikawa won the exchange and brought in Shinno, who knocked Obihiro loop with boots and a wall splash. Things almost went wrong again as Obihiro tried another double-team throat thrust but Takanashi had learned his lesson and threw her into Shinno. Sadly, she couldn’t get a pin and Shinno mangled her knee. Takanashi tried to interfere but was chopped away and Shinno took the win by reversing Obihiro Magic into a Gedo Clutch. Once again, Obihiro ate the pin but this time it wasn’t exactly her fault. Takanashi and Obihiro seem to be learning as a team, maybe one day they’ll win. For now, I’m just happy Egg Tarts are back.
Chris Brookes & Drew Parker defeated Baliyan Akki & Yuna Mizumori via Table Piledriver on Akki
Drew Parker is finally in ChocoPro. The Urchin Prince and former BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight champion had finally debuted and was joining his mate Chris Brookes in a main event battle against Baliyan Akki and the Tropical Fairy Yuna Mizumori. There was a giant flamingo joining them and a whole lot of intrigue as no one was sure how Parker would adapt to the Chocolate Square. Shinno was going to have his hands full officiating this battle of aces and potential aces. Mizumori and Brookes opened with a “clean” technical fight and Brookes worked over Mizumori’s hair. It would be his crutch until Mizumori whipped him across the mat into a shoulder block. They both tagged and Parker locked up with Akki, also utilising hair and face pulls to his advantage. They had a counter-wrestling war and Mizumori worked with Akki to trap Parker and whip him with a tropical belt. She made Parker dance and he retorted with a nasty chop and tagged out. Brookes mockingly kept the beating going and tried to take the win with a double-team pin. Turns out Parker had brought some toys with him and tried to throw a dart at Mizumori but she dodged and stabbed him with it. She tagged and Akki started beating on both Brookes and Parker. A thrust kick got the better of him and Akki had his head smashed in a trash can with a broom. Brookes started removing negative signs and fed them to Akki for a forearm. Parker joined in again to scrub Akki with another broom and after slugging it out whipped him into a flag pole. Akki tried to fight back but Parker just trapped him in a Crab with Brookes joining in to lock on a Camel Clutch and toe hold. Brookes kept torturing Akki, demanding more from him and fired him up for a strike-out. Akki escaped with a Backbreaker and Mizumori went on a rampage. Parker saved Brookes from the Tropical Crab and got slammed for his troubles. She couldn’t be stopped and took out both with a diving shoulder block. Brookes blocked a splash with his knees and launched Mizumori across the studio with a shotgun dropkick. Parker avoided another slam and kicked Mizumori into a Meteora. Parker tried for the Swanton but ate nothing but the mat and Mizumori tagged out.

Akki’s hot tag was cut out from under him as Parker countered his combo and nailed him with a hip attack. Parker tried for another Meteora and was cut off as Akki turned it into another Backbreaker. Both nailed each other with kicks and Akki tried to take the win with his Deathlock. Brookes made the save and Parker avoided any more abuse with a Cazadora Double Stomp. He followed up with a Twisting Suplex but again, Mizumori was ready to make the save. Brookes came in and started killing everyone, setting up Akki for a Shoop Cutter. They raked the mat up and set up a framework of stools. Brookes dragged Akki up and Parker came rolling back in on a bike. Akki got to safety and Parker cycled right into the stools. Brookes tried to do the same and ended up running Parker over. Akki reset the mat and had Mizumori bring in the inflatable flamingo. They used that to splash Parker and Akki wiped out on a flamingo-riding Namaste Splash. Brookes trapped Mizumori in it and Parker brought out skewers. He threatened to skewer Mizumori then stabbed them into the flamingo’s head and savoured her screams as it deflated. Mizumori was furious and elbowed the hell out of both. Parker thought he’d scored big with a slam but Akki dropkicked a chair into him. Brookes silenced Akki with the ring bell and Mizumori clotheslined the soul out of Brookes. Parker and Akki slugged it out on their knees and worked up to heavy chops and eventually kicks. Akki brained Parker with the bin and set up a table. He dumped Parker on it and climbed to the top for another Namaste Splash. He crashed and burned, smashing into the table. Parker quickly capitalised with an Onita-Style Table Piledriver and took the win. This was bloody awesome. They had set out to make a slice of ChocoPro hardcore and totally succeeded. It was equal parts wrestling to equal parts hardcore madness and it all flowed so well. Parker looked right at home in Ichigaya and as per usual Brookes and Akki stole the show. Goddamn, this was a lot of fun.
ChocoPro #180
Yuna Mizumori defeated Tokiko Kirihara via Supergirl Pin
The season finale kicked off with a Comaneci showdown. Yuna Mizumori and Tokiko Kirihara had gone from teaming to sparring as they prepared to see who was the better fighter. It would be Tropical Power vs Striking superiority. Both started off by going to the legs and scrambled for holds. They worked around other lock-ups and holds, neither finding a clear advantage. Both knew each other too well and Kirihara used the wall to stun Mizumori for the Comaneci. Mizumori escaped and also used the wall to deliver a running headbutt. She tried to flatten Kirihara but Kirihara quickly escaped and kept kicking out, earning a catapult into the wall and a Crab. The pair kept throwing bombs and Kirihara almost won with an STO into a ground and pound armbar. Mizumori put the breaks on her momentum with a Coconut Crush and Tropical Crossbody. Multiple splashes followed but Kirihara wouldn’t die and kicked away a lariat. She tried for the dancing foot stomp but Mizumori met her up top and got trapped in a rear-naked choke and second Comaneci. She tried to transition to the Cobra Twist but Mizumori wiggled out and started a pinfall war. Kirihara brought out the low kicks and drove her into the wall again for an attempted Comaneci stomp. That missed and Mizumori took out Kirihara’s legs for a Supergirl. Yuna Mizumori took the win this time but it had been a very close, very intense, sprint of a match with both fighters more than earning their spotlight.
Sayaka Obihiro vs Tiger Jeet Shinjuku ends in no contest
Welcome to the jungle#ChocoPro #gtmv pic.twitter.com/tLHeGuclTZ

The second match couldn’t even start properly as Tiger Jeet Shinjuku ambushed Obihiro as she made her introductions. The match was started instantly and Tiger threw Obihiro out of the window, mauling her on the outside. Tiger attacked Obihiro with a bike and finally threw her back inside, clawing at her as he made his entrance. The beatdown continued around the studio as Tiger tried to drown Obihiro in the toilet and give her a tour of the building next door. This even went into another alley as Tiger just kept clawing and dragging Obihiro around Ichigaya. He tried to choke out Obihiro and tried for a crab but almost got rolled up. He went back to the choke and smashed her head off the wall, just trying to end her. The glove came off and Tiger broke his hand clawing the wall. Obihiro chopped her way back into the match and scored a two-count with a slam. Tiger blocked the throat thrust and the pair tried to redirect her arms until Obihiro finally made contact. The bridging pin followed but only got two. Tiger punched her in the window and removed his other glove for another nasty choke. Obihiro punished him with a cross thrust and locked on the double-arm twist but just as she looked set to win, Kappa Kozo appeared and saved him, clawing Obihiro in the throat. The match was thrown out as Kozo clawed everyone and the pair continued to try and kill Obihiro. Just what do these monsters want with ChocoPro and just what will they do to get it? I’d be fearful of facing these fighters in any match there in now if this is what they’re willing to do. Though, I could always go for more wrestling tours of Ichigaya.
Rina Yamashita defeated Sayaka via Amazon Splash
Okay, now was the match that had my attention. This was going to get stiff as the resident heavy hitter of ChocoPro was going to meet her match in the deathmatch Amazon, Rina Yamashita. These two were going to beat the absolute hell out of each other and it was going to rock. They opened with a strong lock-up as the pair shunted each other around the studio. Things got technical and Yamashita seemed to be able to retain her control on Sayaka, almost breaking her wrist and legs in the process. Sayaka kept trying to scramble but Yamashita just wouldn’t let her go until Sayaka smashed her head off the mat. Yamashita used her hair as a weapon and slammed Sayaka into the mat. Sayaka unleashed her strikes and Yamashita repaid her in kind, chopping her down for a Sharpshooter, tying her in a knot. The abuse continued with a knee drop and Yamashita getting fired up on Sayaka’s chops, flooring her with one of her own when they started to lose effect. Sayaka used the wall as her weapon and finally got Yamashita down with her slam. She tried to lock on the Crab and almost scored the win when Yamashita charged with Schoolboys. The second attempt got the Crab locked in and kept trapping limbs in her knot. Sayaka got nasty with some hair pulling and smashed Yamashita into the mat again for a Biel. She just kept going, trapping Yamashita’s hair in the window to deliver a dropkick but couldn’t get the three. Yamashita answered back with stiff knees and both kept ripping at the other’s hair, taking the fight outside. They forearmed the hell out of each other and Sayaka countered the Jig and Tonic into a sunset flip into a wall. Yamashita shook this off and made her pay with a DDT into the floor. They dragged their way back inside and camerawoman Mizumori gave the audience a close-up of Yamashita’s scarred up back. They started throwing more heavy forearms and Yamashita kneed Sayaka into another deadly DDT.

Sayaka still had some fight in her so Yamashita crushed her with a lariat and the pair forearmed each other through the window, Sayaka baiting Yamashita into a back club. The dropkicks came out but Yamashita wasn’t going down so Sayaka put her in the Sayaka Lock. Sayaka did everything she could to keep Yamashita down but it wasn’t working and Yamashita took her over with a Suplex. Sayaka answered back with a counter elbow and dropkick but it still wasn’t enough. Yamashita thrust kicked Sayaka’s teeth in and downed her with a Hammerlock lariat for the grand finale, and Amazon Splash. This had been a hyper-physical war with Sayaka doing her best to withstand and answer back to the continuous barrage from Yamashita. It got incredibly vicious and might just be one of my favourite matches from the season.
Baliyan Akki & Chie Koishikawa defeated Chon Shiryu & Shin Suzuki via B3 on Shiryu
Last but not least, the final main event of the season. A tag team war between Baliyan Akki and Chie Koishikawa and the current champ Chon Shiryu and the ever-inventive Shin Suzuki with Tamura as the special guest ref. We’ve seen Akki struggle in tag bouts without Mei Suruga in recent weeks, would this be the one to turn all that around? It would certainly improve his standing if he could pick up a win over the champ. Akki and Suzuki opened with some technical grappling and quickly picked up the pace with kicks and throws. The pair applauded the other’s efforts and tagged out, letting Koishikawa and Shiryu have some fun. They went after each other’s wrists with Shiryu trying to break Koishikawa’s arm early. Koishikawa wouldn’t be stopped and grabbed a leg as her prize as she went on a run. They both scored quick two-counts and Shiryu crushed Koishikawa’s toes with his boot. He tagged and Suzuki kept up the work on the leg, twisting up Koishikawa’s knee and ankle. Akki jumped in to make a save so Shiryu swatted him away and continued the torture, mangling Koishikawa’s neck and face. This made Koishikawa pissed so she locked on the Bow and Arrow, Akki jumping to action to trap Suzuki in the Namaste Stretch alongside. Akki and Shiryu continued the fight with more striking and it was Suzuki and Shiryu’s turn for double submissions as the pair put Akki and Koishikawa in headstand submissions. Akki got the better of Suzuki and sent a message to Shiryu by using his own crane choke to snuff him out. Koishikawa made him watch with a Guillotine and Shiryu used her body to break Akki’s choke. Akki and Suzuki chopped it out and kept upping the intensity until Suzuki took Akki out with a bridging Northern Lights. Akki answered back with a Backbreaker and made the tag. Koishikawa flew in with a dropkick and launched both opponents with multiple double arm-drags. She chopped down Suzuki and locked on the muffler. Suzuki forced a break and tried to quell Demon Chie’s rage with a headstand but she just chopped him out of it and delivered a proper Demon chop as he lay there hurting.

He rolled away from the double chop and flew at Koishikawa with a forearm, leaving both of them on the mat out of it. Suzuki got the tag and Shiryu wasted no time in instigating a strike-off with Koishikawa. Shiryu got the better of the exchange and almost murdered Koishikawa in the window but she grabbed his leg and delivered her muffler slam. Koishikawa and Akki struck with double dropkicks and nearly ended things with a Backbreaker/Chop combo. Akki flattened Shiryu with the Spider and had his momentum stopped with a Dragon Kick. He brought Suzuki in for some acrobatic splashes and ate a pump kick after missing the Dragon Stomp. Koishikawa joined the fray with a Tornado Arm-drag and Akki landed the Swanton but not the splash. He quickly rebounded by reversing the Gory Bomb but couldn’t keep it up and ate both of Shiryu’s finishers. Koishikawa made the save and Akki fought off Shiryu’s efforts to take the win with B3. Akki had just pinned the Super Asia Champion. His bad luck had finally turned and he now had another credible claim at that title. I think we now know one of the key things going into Season 11 now. This kicked ass. It was a fast-paced onslaught of rapid action and teamwork. Both teams really had a rhythm going and ended ChocoPro Season 10 on a high note. Even better, Lulu Pencil is back from her trip to the US and will have a whole lot of new things to show. Suruga should be back soon too so the Best Bros should be back in action. Ten gave the company a new start, Season 11 promises to be even wilder.
