On the menu, this week, from Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric Young will face off Rhino in a Street Fight. Deonna Purrazzo will team up with Drama King Matt Rehwoldt against Mickie James and Chris Sabin. The IInspiration and The Influence will square off with the 4 members of Decay. FinJuice will square off with The Learning Tree. Rohit Raju will face Larry D. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

D’Lo Brown and Matt Striker were on commentary. On ‘Before The Impact’, Lady Frost defeated Kimber Lee w/ Brandi Lauren (it was confirmed that Frost signed and is now an Impact Wrestling Knockout).

  • Deonna Purrazzo & Drama King Matt Rehwoldt defeated Knockouts Champion Mickie James & Chris Sabin. Deonna pinned Mickie but held the ropes while Rehwoldt was holding her hand.
  • Backstage, Matt Cardona told Gia Miller his history in Impact Wrestling and said he deserves the Championship opportunity. W. Morrissey cut him off and said the same. He added there’s a lot of time between now and Hard to Kill and it’d be a shame if he doesn’t make it. Cardona offered a match to Morrissey later tonight. If Cardona loses, he’ll step out of the Hard To Kill match.

  • Violent By Design promo. Eric Young said tonight he’s going to get Rhino in a Street Fight, something not wise because he’s younger, smarter, and faster than Rhino. The design will continue to be beautiful even if it has to change. EY said if Rhino plans on having Willie, Rich and Heath get involved, then Joe Doering has a design for that.
  • Rohit Raju w/ Raj Singh vs Larry D ended in a no-contest when Josh Alexander attacked Raj Singh and Rohit Raju. Rohit fled. He called out Jonah. (commercial break) Scott D’Amore came out and told Josh to calm down. Jonah isn’t coming out here as he isn’t even here because he knew this might happen. D’Amore said he’ll get his hands on Jonah one-on-one at Hard to Kill. Josh asked if he’s expected to wait when he’s standing in the ring right now. The longer he has to wait on getting to Jonah, the longer he has to wait to get his hands on Moose. Josh added Scott’s starting to test his patience. Scott replied he’s not testing his patience, he’s trying to teach him some. Scott went off saying that he’s trying to help Josh become a champion but he’s losing control. Scott told him to get his emotions in check. Josh rolled out of the ring and hit the C4 strike on Raj Singh. Josh told Scott this is him keeping his emotions in check before walking off.

  • Backstage, Chris Bey and Hikuleo refused to sign posters. Bey got heated about being asked to sign something from an event they lost. Laredo Kid came, talked to them in Spanish. Bey asked what he said.

  • Backstage, Steve Maclin said he wants an X-Division title match, D’Amore agreed he hasn’t been beaten but he also hasn’t beaten anyone, so he’ll have to get to the back of the line. Maclin walked up, Havok and Rosemary asked about the Ultimate-X match, D’Amore said he delegated that, so they’ll have to ask someone else but didn’t explain who that is exactly.
  • FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) defeated The Learning Tree (VSK & Zicky Dice).
  • Backstage, W. Morrissey was stretching when Moose walked up. Moose told Morrisey he’s not mad, but he has a problem. Neither of them wants the match at Hard to Kill to be a Triple Threat and Cardona doesn’t deserve to even be in the match, so why not work together one last time and take out Cardona. Morrisey told Moose he can handle it himself and he’ll see him at Hard to Kill.

  • Backstage, Eric Young asked Deaner and Doering to let him come to the ring alone.
  • Eric Young defeated Rhino in a Street Fight Match. Deaner and Doering interfered but Heath brought them backstage. Later, Rich Swann and Willie Mack hit the ring and attacked Eric Young but The Good Brothers attacked them.

  • After the match, The Good Brothers continued their assault on Mack and Swann as all of the heels stood tall over the fallen faces.

  • Backstage, The IInspiration and The Influence tried to tell Gia Miller they’re some sort of supergroup but they were talking over each other. Madison Rayne finally explained their plans to work together.
  • Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve) defeated Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) & The Influence (Tenille & Madison Rayne) w/ Kaleb with a K.

  • Backstage, Lady Frost told Gia Miller she was very happy to become an IMPACT Knockout. Scott D’Amore cut her off and welcomed her to Impact Wrestling. Frost said that the Ultimate-X match is made for her even though she’s new here. Scott said he loves that attitude and it’ll help her succeed here. He told her to talk about this to the newest member of the Impact Management team, Gail Kim. She said Frost told her it was her bucket list match, so she’s adding her to the match with a series of other super talented women, Rachael Ellering, Jordynne Grace, Tasha Steelz, Rosemary and Chelsea Green.

  • Matt Cardona defeated W. Morrissey via DQ.

  • After the match, Morrissey hit the referee and attacked Cardona with a powerbomb. Chelsea came, Moose came. Morrissey hit a Big Boot on Moose. Morrissey told Chelsea to get out of the way and she refused. Morrisey tossed her across the ring and Cardona fired up and beat down Morrisey. Cardona connected with a boot to Morrisey’s face, sending him to the outside. Cardona stood tall with the Impact Championship.

The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week

– Matt Cardona vs W. Morrissey

Morrissey caught Cardona on the ramp as he was making his entrance and both started fighting on the outside before the bell rang. Morrissey gained control and stroke away at Cardona before tossing him into the ring post. Morrissey tossed Cardona back into the ring and the referee called for the bell. Cardona connected with a codebreaker to start the match and Cardona nearly won in the opening seconds. Morrissey ate a series of forearms from Cardona before exploding out of the corner and dropping Cardona with a back elbow. Morrissey got Cardona in the ropes and slammed away at his back with forearms before dropping him with a big boot that sent Cardona to the outside. Back from commercial break, Morrissey was stomping away at Cardona. Cardona fought back with double knees and elevated himself to the top rope, but Morrissey dropped Cardona to the outside from the top with a clothesline. Morrissey to the outside lifted Cardona up and slammed him face-first into the ring post. The Deathmatch King was busted open from the post shot and Morrissey pulled his face right into the ring post forcing him to bleed even more.

Morrissey continued his assault with strikes on the outside before wiping Cardona’s blood on his lip. Morrissey tossed Cardona back into the ring and slowly stalked his opponent. Cardona was up in the corner and Morrissey charged with a splash but Cardona moved and Morrissey hit his head off the ring post. Both men went to their feet slowly and exchanged strikes in the centre of the ring. Cardona took control and ducked a clothesline before dropping Morrissey with a bulldog. Cardona to the top dropped Morrissey with a top rope dropkick. Cardona connected with the Broski Boot in the corner. Cardona got to his feet but fell due to a lack of stamina. Morrissey went for the powerbomb but Cardona reversed it and hit Morrissey with the Radio Silence. Both men were slow to get to their feet again, Cardona ran into a big boot from Morrissey. Morrissey had Cardona in the corner and stomped away at him before screaming at the referee for trying to break it at five. Morrisey continued with rights on Cardona in the corner, the referee tried to pull him off again and Morrisey tossed him off of him, forcing a DQ.

The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”

Joe Doering said a few words… Christmas magic…

The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts/Awards of the Week

– Mix the genders

Two examples in two different matches. Men and women wrestling in the same ring… Some people are still sceptical or against intergender wrestling and my goal is not to convince them to like it. Impact Wrestling have proved to us that you can do intergender with respect and class. They did it again this week…

– Was there a good choice?

Lady Frost, Rachael Ellering, Jordynne Grace, Chelsea Green, Rosemary and Tasha Steelz will be the 6 Knockouts to climb the dangerous Ultimate-X structure to win the #1 contendership for the Knockouts title. We could question this choice but the Knockouts roster is now so crowded. Of course, Lady Frost is given a major push right for her “official” debut, which was easy not to notice. Except for Frost, they are all former Knockouts Tag Team Champions. But only Jordynne Grace and Rosemary are former Knockouts Champions, so the match should be very interesting…

Hard To Kill

Hard To Kill will air live on January 8, 2022, at 8 PM EST (1 AM GMT). You can already order it on Fite TV.Four matches on the card as of today. The build-up continues…

To be eNYGMAtic…

Like last week, a pretty good episode, at least action-wise. Again, an X-Division kind of match would have been welcomed, to kick off the show for example. Gail Kim is now officially shown on TV as a member of Impact Management, something that was known and renowned backstage and media-wise.
We are 4 weeks away from Hard To Kill and the build-up continues, slowly but surely. I disagree with Impact Wrestling when they show Cardona as the Champion a possible future. Right now, Morrissey has made his way to the top and should be Champion. VBD and The Good Brothers united left me puzzled. Some things are not very clear for the moment…
I’m late this week, again. On a “Nygma is still not on Xmas Mode” note, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, go get vaccinated, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
