According to PWInsider, Mads Krügger has signed a new long-term, multi-year deal with Major League Wrestling. Krügger, currently undefeated in MLW storylines, is said to be getting a massive push as a heel monster in 2022 with the idea of eventually pitting him against Jacob Fatu, who was turned babyface coming out of the end of CONTRA and the War Chamber match.

He made his debut with MLW in 2019 as Grogan, Alexander Hammerstone’s newest gift to The Dynasty. He later betrayed Dynasty when he helped the faction’s enemy, Mance Warner, and became Logan Creed. He competed in a few matches before MLW went on a hiatus due to the pandemic.

Creed made his return to MLW as the masked “Black Hand of Contra” on the November 18 episode of Fusion by attacking Alexander Hammerstone after Hammerstone appeared at ringside to confront Jacob Fatu after Fatu had retained the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against Davey Boy Smith Jr. Creed was confirmed as the fifth new member of CONTRA Unit, Mads Krügger. CONTRA would dissolve at War Chamber after losing the titular match to the Hammerheads.

Following his historic win over Atsuki Aoyagi to retain the World Middleweight Championship, Yoshihiro Tajiri has lined up another high profile title defence. Cesar Duran has fast-tracked another inter-promotional championship bout, this time with the champ defending in the United Kingdom against top-ranked British grappler Jody Fleisch. World Pro Wrestling will host the high profile title bout.

This marks the second international title defence by the World Middleweight Champion, with All Japan Pro Wrestling hosting the first title bout. MLW.com has confirmed cameras will be rolling for this historic championship bout in the event a title change occurs.

In speaking with the “Japanese Buzzsaw,” Tajiri informed MLW.com that his goal as champion is to defend the world championship against the top-ranked wrestlers of each country.
