WARNING: STRONG VIOLENCE AND LANGUAGE AHEAD
Welcome back to GCW as the road to Hammerstein takes us through to Detroit Michigan for another round of fun in Rock City. The action comes to us from the Harpos Theatre and promises to blow some minds with some spectacular matches. On the cards tonight, a seven-way scramble, Atticus Cogar vs Matthew Justice, BUSSY vs Ricky Morton and 2 Cold Scorpio, Alex Shelley vs Jimmy Jacobs and so much more, leading to the main event deathmatch when Hoodfoot debuts for GCW at the top spot, in an Ultraviolent Title match against the king of the company Alex Colon. Let’s get into the action.
Scramble: Gringo Loco defeated Dante Leon, Alex Zayne, Jimmy Lloyd, Ninja Mack, JJ Garrett & Spyder Nate Webb via Based Cutter on Leon
Starting the show was the customary GCW Scramble. We had seven fighters ready to go at it as the best of the company’s high-flyers and hybrid stars collided in a battle for supremacy. Alex Zayne had literally flown into the match with a stage dive and now had six other men gunning for him. Within two minutes, we’d had dives galore and several bodies flying into the ringside crowd who basically had to make their chairs crash mats for the wrestlers. The match itself was another rapid-fire scramble as everyone threw themselves into the fight. Loco and Mack gave the crowd a Lucha showcase for the ages until Thot Steiner cut them off. As expected, it descended a greatest hits playlist as everyone dropped their bombs until Loco picked up the eventual win with a double jump Cutter. It had been a very high-energy opener and had the crowd rabid for more.
Jordan Oliver defeated Leon Ruff via Orange Crush

Up next was the return of Leon Ruff. After winning his debut in a scramble, it was time for some one-on-one action for the exciting young star. This time he was facing the East Coast Ace Jordan Oliver. He may have had the hometown advantage but was he going to be able to kill the Clout Cutter off. This became exactly what you’d want as Jordan Oliver looked to cut off the speed and athleticism of Ruff using the most brutal methods he could. Since Ruff had the hometown crowd, Oliver made him work for everything, stretching him out and breaking him however he could. He had the experience and he was going to make Ruff suffer for his fans. The underdog spirit of Ruff shone through and he started to get his licks in, adding the athletic to the fundamentals. The crowd kept him going as he started to fly, exacting his ounce of flesh on Oliver for all that earlier damage. It would be clever counterwork from both that set them up for the win as both kept getting cut off in the closing stretch. They’d taken each other to the limit but only one man could win and that would be Jordan Oliver, unleashing a new crisp Orange Crush. Oliver made a statement before Hammerstein by picking up a much-needed win against one of the hometown favourites. This was a fun change of pace following the scramble with the pair working nicely off each other.
Alex Shelley defeated Jimmy Jacobs via Border City Stretch
Before this exciting-as-hell match could get underway, it was time to unleash Big Sexy, Kevin Nash. He’d come home and had fun just talking it up with the crowd, even mentioning his own Jack-Knife Kush was hitting shelves. He wound down the speech and introduced his friend and co-worker, Alex Shelley to the ring to fight the Zombie Princess Jimmy Jacobs. This was going to be wild. Nash and Shelley shared the world’s most powerful too sweet and the match kicked into gear. Shelley and Jacobs have met countless times across their careers and always put on a show, this was no different. Some obnoxious arsehole tried to steal the match with dumb chants (fuck you) but he couldn’t distract from the crisp technicality and escalation of the match. These two did exactly what they do best and that’s what everyone wanted to see. Shelley went to the arm and Jacobs went to the neck. It was another excellent match with Jacobs going full villain mode since the fans didn’t want to cheer for him. It got very personal and very vicious as the two just beat the shit out of each other. That arm-work yielded results as Jacobs couldn’t hit his signature spots and the pair ended up just rocking each other with shots. The pair’s intimate knowledge of each other kept coming into play too as both men knew what was coming and how to avoid it. After multiple attempts, Shelley finally got the Border City Stretch locked in for good and got the win. Jacobs had given him hell throughout but Shelley had walked away the winner, showered in victory, cheers, and punk rock. This is what it’s all about.
ECW World TV Title: Matt Cardona (w/Chelsea Green) defeated Rhino via ECW Title Shot
We went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows as the “Always Ready Deathmatch King” Matt Cardona and his wife, Chelsea Green came to the ring. Cardona was ready for a fight after all the Joey Janela shenanigans and GCW had provided him with an outlet in Michigan wrestling legend Rhino. Now, there was an added bonus too as the ECW World TV Title was brought into play too since the Cardonas had brought it with them. Everyone here though just wanted to see Cardona get gored, especially after the promo they’d both cut running down Janela and Detroit. What followed was a fun mix of ECW venue-brawling as Rhino pummelled Cardona around Harpos and traditional wrestling as the Cardonas used their numbers and rule-bending to get one over on Rhino. They both beat the hell out of each other and Rhino was screwed out of the victory as he gored Cardona when the ref was unconscious from a belt hit. Chelsea Green made the mistake of interfering and paid for it by getting gored through a door but accidentally gave her husband the win as he low-blowed the dazed beast and killed him off with a belt shot. It had been a back-and-forth war between the two with the Cardonas sneaking another big win. Not a bad return for a guy who “quit” GCW, a big win, and a new championship for him to carry around.
Tony Deppen defeated Dark Sheik via Bridging Chicken-Wing

Post-intermission we returned to another interesting technical styles clash. It would be the High Priestess of the Church of Wrestling Dark Sheik busting into the Harpos scene to take on the gatekeeper, Tony Deppen. We know what both are capable of so this was one we could just sit back, watch and marvel at. As always with Deppen, there were no niceties as he started the striking and trash-talking instantly. Sheik would not be denied though and forced Deppen to put on the brakes as she picked up the pace. As expected with Sheik, she quickly started innovating and had Deppen trapped under multiple holds, having fun at Deppen’s expense. This kept happening throughout the matches runtime and Deppen became Detroit’s most hated for what he was doing to Sheik. These two just put on a really good match. it was another sprint of athletic action between two world-class talents. Sheik kept Deppen guessing throughout and Deppen did what he always does, find a way to viciously win the match. it was an excellent way to return to the show and further proof these two always earn their roster spots. It was short, sweet, and vicious.
Atticus Cogar defeated Matthew Justice via Roll-up
It makes sense that just before Atticus Cogar and Matthew Justice were unleashed on each other, we’d have the appearance of the Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal Sabu. GCW wanted to give the hardcore legend the “thank you” he deserved for everything he’d done for wrestling. Instead, we had Atticus Cogar interrupting to make sure everyone remembered he was a dickhead. Cogar ran down Sabu until Justice took a chair to Cogar for some swinging practice. That was the precursor to their match and from there, we had a hurricane of violence and chaos, SGC style. Even Sabu got in on the violence as he pelted Cogar with a chair. We had more chair shots, skewers and fan interaction as Justice unleashed a mosh pit of hurt on Cogar around Harpos, even busting heads on the dancefloor. Cogar did what he did best and found ways back into the match even if he’d been thrown down the stairs and assaulted with chairs. We even saw him take to the air with a balcony dive onto Justice. It was just pure anarchy from start to finish. This went everywhere as Cogar and Justice tore each other to fucking shreds in the crowd, on the stage, and in the ring. No one was safe when the action was near them. It wouldn’t be a Justice match without a stage dive and we got one of the biggest ones yet here with one of the nastiest landings. Seriously fun, seriously wild, and very much one of the best matches of the night because of just how many oh shit moments it contained. It took everything Cogar had to put down the man CTE fears. That meant 44OH! taking Sabu hostage and rolling him up. GCW forgot about the green-clad goons and now, they’d come back with a vengeance. Win or lose, Justice got to perform in his dream venue before his idol and pretty much had the match won. That’s pretty fucking cool.
BUSSY (Allie Katch & EFFY) defeated Ricky Morton & 2 Cold Scorpio via Pussy Piledriver on Morton

This is incredible. We had two absolute icons of wrestling pairing up in Ricky Morton and 2 Cold Scorpio to battle one of the hottest teams on the scene right now, Allie Katch and EFFY, AKA BUSSY. This was going to be fun as hell as we had remixed Yellow Brick Road music and a whole bunch of wrestling experts in the ring together. This was great fun. We had some unique dynamics on the go as we saw more from Scorpio and EFFY to kick things off and an interesting contest between Morton and Katch. It was interesting to see the styles and generations clash and keep up the high standard the show had set. Morton got the BUSSY beatdown for trying to low blow Katch and found it worked out much better on EFFY. Morton and Scorpio were not afraid to break the rules, and targeted whatever they thought would get them the win. It had started off light and fun but quickly got heated as the icons did not want to give up their spot to BUSSY. In the end though, after an absolute war full of hard shots and back-and-forth, BUSSY got the win. EFFY hit Scorpio with the Sack Ryder and Katch took the win with a Pussy Piledriver on Morton. This had been an excellent little odd pairing match with the veterans showing how well they can still go. EFFY also used the time to send a message to Jeff Jarrett as he was still pissed off about the guitar attack. Jarrett was not getting a thing from EFFY until he came correct.
GCW Ultraviolent Title: Alex Colon defeated Hoodfoot via Glass and Salt Camel Clutch
Last but not least, the main event. Alex Colon had fought off the “brides’ maid” John Wayne Murdoch and now it was back to business defending the GCW Ultraviolent title and making it the biggest belt he could. He was in for another big challenge next as he had a deathmatch debuting Hoodfoot gunning for his title. We’ve seen the Saucy Butcher taking the deathmatch fight to any and all comers and fighting at special shows. Now, it was time to take that smoke to GCW’s deathmatch scene and one of the top Bloodfighters in the world. This was a baptism by fire but I can think of fewer more accepting of the challenge. We had bundles and glass doors agogo. Hoodfoot opened by showing off his power advantage by throwing Colon around and knocking him down. He came at Colon with a tube so Colon dropkicked it into his chest. Hoodfoot was undeterred and kept mauling Colon around the ring. He tried to take a bundle to a corner-trapped Colon but Colon dodged, trapped him in the ropes, and kicked a bundle into his thigh. The tube dive followed and kept taking tubes to the legs of Hoodfoot, breaking and stabbing at the thigh and knee. Hoodfoot cut Colon off with a Saito and corner crush but couldn’t deliver a second as Colon gave him light-tube devil horns. The fans got to pick which side Hoodfoot got carved up on and just kept stabbing more glass into the open head wounds on his head. Hoodfoot got angry and booted back, breaking a bundle into Colon’s head with a back elbow. Elbows kept raining and Colon was sent flying through a glass pane to the floor with a Back-body Drop. Hoodfoot prepared to dive but Colon cut him off with a bundle to the brain. Just as it seemed he’d regained control. Hoodfoot plucked him out of the air and dropped him with a bundle German. A bundle pile was made and Hoodfoot tried for a Brainbuster but his leg gave out and Colon drove them both into the pile with a Tornado DDT. A bundle of double-knees followed but Hoodfoot wouldn’t give up, regardless of the blood loss.
HOLY SHIT!!! @HoodFoot418 @alexcolon0139 #GCWNotorious @GCWrestling_

He tried again with a bundle splash but again, Hoodfoot wouldn’t give. Hoodfoot got revenge by breaking another bundle and got a two-count with a glass door Saito. Salt and tubes were brought to the ring and the pair duelled it out, Colon going to the leg, Hoodfoot destroying Colon’s skull. Colon tried to back elbow to victory but Hoodfoot hoisted him up and just slammed him into the glass. Hoodfoot set up a chair and took the fight to the top with another bundle but Colon cut him off and poured salt into his wounds. Hoodfoot fell into the chair and Colon broke another bundle into his chest with top rope double knees. Hoodfoot was still kicking so Colon covered him in even more salt and locked on the Camel Clutch. Hoodfoot proved right here how much of a tough motherfucker he is. Salt in cuts is no joke and Hoodfoot nearly withstood three tubs of the stuff into a whole lot of cuts. Colon may have won but another audience got to witness just how damn good Hoodfoot is. This match rocked. It was intense, captivating, and full of high-impact violence. Colon was taken to the limit countless times by Hoodfoot and it showed. This was a brilliant main event and hopefully the start of a proper GCW schedule for Hoodfoot. This just helped prove what a lot of people already knew, Hoodfoot is the fucking man.
