This year’s Crockett Cup also marks the return of the NWA to the Nashville Fairgrounds for the first time since the NWA’s 70th Anniversary Event in October 2018. On that night, Nick Aldis defeated Cody Rhodes to regain the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship in the highest-grossing event in the history of the Nashville Fairgrounds. This time, the NWA looks to break that record yet again.

This single-elimination tournament will feature no less than 16 tag teams from around the wrestling world competing over 2 nights, while also featuring multiple singles championship matches.

The list of tag teams will continue to be released as the tournament brackets take shape, and the accolades of the names of the initial announcement are setting the level of competition fans have come to expect:

– The brother tag team of the Briscoe Brothers, Jay and Mark Briscoe (12x ROH Tag Team Champions, former IWGP Tag Team Champions, GCW Tag Team Champions, former GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions)
– The reunited team of The British Invasion, former 2x NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion “the National Treasure” Nick Aldis, and international sensation Doug Williams (Former IWGP Tag Team Champions, Former TNA World Tag Team Champions)
– Mexico’s own La Rebelión, the team of Mecha Wolf and Bestia 666 (Current NWA World Tag Team Champions, 2x Crash Tag Team Champions)
– Strictly Business, Thom Latimer and NWA National Heavyweight Champion “The Masterpiece” Chris Adonis

In 2019, the team of Brody King and PCO won the Cup and became NWA World Tag Team Champions.
