Here was the case. No Surrender is now a chapter close. Let’s open the Sacrifice One. And the case continues…
On the menu this week, from New Orleans, Louisiana, OGK and Kenny King will team up against Rich Swann, Willie Mack and Chris Sabin. JONAH will compete against Zicky Dice. Matt Cardona will defend the IMPACT Digital Media Championship against Jordynne Grace in a Dotcombat Match. Bhupinder Gujjar will square off with John Skyler. Deonna Purrazzo will issue a new “Champ Champ” open challenge. We’ll also hear about Moose who will kick off the episode and Eddie Edwards who will explain his actions at No Surrender. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week
Tom Hannifan and Drama King Matt Rehwoldt were on commentary. On ‘BTI’, Speedball Mike Bailey & Ace Austin w/ Madman Fulton defeated X-Division Champion Trey Miguel & Jake Something in a very good match (BTI is now available only on Impact Wrestling YouTube and Facebook channels at 7.30 PM EST/12.30 AM GMT, and on Impact Plus).
- Moose told the crowd he’s the best champion in wrestling. He reminded us that he beat Morrissey but all everyone is talking about is Eddie Edwards. There’s only one man in professional wrestling who needs to be acknowledged and it’s Moose. He told us that, without him, there would be no Eddie Edwards. Whenever someone enters the ring with Moose, he changes their life forever. He brought up Josh Alexander, Matt Cardona, and W. Morrissey, he discussed how they’ve all stepped up to the plate and failed.

- Before he could continue, Heath came and asked Moose if he thinks everything that happened with Eddie is a joke. Heath said we are at war, man, he had no idea how different that’ll hit today than when it was taped. Heath said he was out for a year but Impact stood behind him, so he’ll stand for Impact alone if he has to. Moose said that Heath’s been here for a year and now he’s an Impact guy. He also asked about where Heath has been, where Heath was during No Surrender. Heath said he had to go through Covid protocols, but now he’s tested negative for covid. He mentioned that his first match on IMPACT was with Moose, and now he’s itching for a Championship match to give Impact a Champion who will fight for the company. Moose asked if Heath wants to go down that downward spiral and said he doesn’t care about Impact, The Roster, Honor no More, Heath’s Family, especially his ugly ass kids. Heath had enough and they brawled. Heath took the upper hand and dropped Moose. Heath stood tall with the Impact championship before laying it over Moose’s fallen body.

- Backstage, Heath met Team Impact who was ready to jump Honor No More but Scott D’Amore stopped them and told them to handle it in a six-man tag. D’Amore said Eddie will be here tonight to explain what he did so no one is putting their hands on Eddie tonight. If tonight Eddie’s off-limits, at Sacrifice, he’s facing Rhino. Rhino said, at Sacrifice, he’s going to rip him in half and the blood will be on Scott’s hands.
#TeamIMPACT was ready and waiting for @HEATHXXII when he got to the back last night to go find @TheEddieEdwards and Honor No More but @ScottDAmore stepped in!

- Backstage, Honor No More showed up and they were late to the event. Scott D’Amore told them it’s hands-off against them until the six-man tag tonight. D’Amore wondered where Eddie Edwards is, but they told him he was coming on his own time. Moose showed up and told the group he doesn’t have an issue with any of them but warned them not to get in his way. He told them not to come after his World Championship, or there will be problems. D’Amore asked Moose what the hell’s happened to him because he doesn’t have a problem with Eddie’s actions. D’Amore asked if maybe Moose is the joke and announced Moose vs Heath for the title at Sacrifice.

- Backstage, Kaleb and The Influence were discussing how he helped Havok get the victory at No Surrender. The IInspiration came up and asked why Kaleb lets them talk to him how they talk to him. Madison said she’ll talk to him however she wants and she’ll talk to them however she wants to. Cassie slapped Madison and Kaleb kept them apart. Madison said s she’ll see Cassie next week and told Kaleb not to screw it up.

- After a BTI recap, Jake Something was backstage telling Gia Miller he was disappointed about losing the match earlier. Trey interrupted and said that maybe Jake shouldn’t be so hard on himself. Jake told Trey not to interrupt him and that he doesn’t need his pity. Trey told Jake to say what he wants with his chest. Jake stated that he is twice his size, he doesn’t need his pity, he needs him to fear him. Jake shoulder-bumped Trey and walked away.

- After the match, W. Morrissey came out and beat up Skyler before turning his attention to Myers. Skyler helped out Myers but ate a powerbomb through Myers’ commentary table for his efforts. Morrisey stood tall over Skyler but was pissed he couldn’t get his hands on Myers.

- Backstage, Steve Maclin said everyone wants to know what Eddie Edwards has to say but he could care less. For weeks, Eddie has pointed the finger at Maclin but he’s the one who turned his back on his brothers. Maclin said he doesn’t care what Eddie has to say because, next week, Eddie has to answer to Maclin.

- Backstage, Jay White was with The Good Brothers and Chris Bey. He knew that G.O.D feel like his move at No Surrender was personal but he assured them it was strictly business. In business; sometimes you have to shed the dead weight. Jay said he has to move on to reach the heights he wants to with Bullet Club. He made a decision for the betterment of the Bullet Club Business. And Bey and The Good Brothers will be part of that business. Anderson said that Bullet Club just feels better with the Good Brothers. Doc said that it was time for G.O.D to get dropped because the O.G’s are 4 Life. Eric Young walked up and said that this could’ve been avoided but now The Good Brothers owes them a title shot. Jay said The Good Brothers are under better management now and their previous agreement is null and void. Eric said at No Surrender, they won but if they ran it back, they might have a different result. G.O.D hit the scene and attacked Jay White and The Bullet Club. Young stared down at G.O.D and said alright before G.O.D walked off.

- JONAH killed Zicky Dice. After the bell rang, JONAH set Zicky up and climbed to the top and hit the Tsunami off the top rope onto Zicky before posing over his lifeless body.

- Backstage, Gail Kim told JONAH he can’t beat up his opponents after the match anymore. JONAH said he wants a real opponent, not a slouch anymore. Gail told him he will fight PCO at Sacrifice if he wants a real match. Swinger came up after JONAH walked away and said he wants JONAH next week to get his revenge on JONAH for almost ending his career. Gail granted him his wish and Swinger said, “yes I always get what I want.”
- Backstage, Mickie James told Gail Kim they need a marquee match for the future and said she loves the idea of putting her title on the line against her friend Chelsea Green. Tasha barged in and asked what Chelsea ever did to get an opportunity for the Knockouts title. Gail told Tasha that her interfering in their match actually gave Chelsea a win over the champion. Mickie and Tasha got into it, so Gail said next week, Tasha will face Chelsea with the winner getting a title match. Chelsea seemed off and Mickie said she’ll be there to help her. Chelsea told her that she needs to do things herself.
- Honor No More (Kenny King, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) defeated Chris Sabin, Rich Swann & Willie Mack.

- After the match, Maria gave a special ring announcement for Eddie Edwards who made his way to the ring, getting in the face of Rich Swann as he walked by him. Back from the commercial break, D’Amore was arguing with Team Impact, sending them to the back. Heath has now joined Team Impact but he’s being sent to the back as well. Scott walked with them all to the back. Eddie said he gets it, he sees it in all of them they feel betrayed. They’re right to feel that way but they’re wrong to blame him. Eddie says he came up with Honor No More, but that’s not why he’s aligned with them. Eddie said that he felt betrayed by ROH when they went on a hiatus, but that’s also not why he joined Honor No More. He said that they identified corruption, the cancerous growth of dishonour in this industry. They are here to expose, so he stands with them, and he’s also here to help expose that same corruption within Impact wrestling. Eddie said two years ago everything changed and everything in Impact changed with it, they opened doors that have been closed for a very long time. Week after week, he didn’t know who would show up but he welcomed it because he had faith that Impact was doing what was best for the company. Eddie said he kept the same faith when they let Kenny Omega challenge for the IMPACT World title. Rich Swann failed to do his job and he let the Impact World title fall into the hands of a man who did not work for Impact. Eddie said the Impact management was too late, so it was up to the locker room. Eddie had faith they’d get it done and he waited for his shot. Sami failed to win back the World title, Moose failed to do his job, Eddie should’ve got a shot after picking up a win over Kenny in a 6-man match, but when Impact chose who would restore honour to the company, they chose Josh Alexander. Eddie said at that moment, Impact had Honor No More. Despite the faith he had in them, they had no faith in him. Eddie said he didn’t turn his back on Impact, Impact ripped the heart from Eddie’s chest because of the decisions of this company and the crowd wanted it every step of the way. Eddie gave everything to Impact and got nothing in return. He didn’t expect to do this, but like he always says anything is possible.

- Alisha came out and asked Eddie what the hell he is doing. Eddie asked her what the hell she was doing out here. Eddie said they talked about this. Alisha said they did but since he wants to do this publicly so will she. She couldn’t believe he was not asking for forgiveness from everyone he betrayed. Eddie asked how she can say that when she saw him get overlooked. She said she understands but Moose, Sami and Josh deserved their shot. Josh brought the title back home and Eddie needed to stop bitching and celebrate with their real family. Eddie said that’s where she’s wrong, this is his family now. Alisha asked what that makes her. Eddie said that he doesn’t know, it’s up to her. He hasn’t turned his back on anyone, he’s just walking away from anyone who turned their back on him. Eddie walked away with Honor No More, leaving Alisha alone in the ring.
.@MrsAIPAlisha is here and cant believe her husbands actions either! #IMPACTonAXSTV pic.twitter.com/S38a8kuV09

The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week
– Jordynne Grace vs Matt Cardona
At No Surrender, Cardona prompted Grace to get herself disqualified. This Dotcombat title match is a no count-outs or disqualifications bout. Jordynne dropped Cardona with a DVD player, Cardona headed to the outside to regroup but Jordynne Speared him into the ring post. Cardona replied with a kick to the midsection and shoved Jordynne down to escape. Cardona went back in the ring and tried to send Jordynne into the ropes but ate a slap. Jordynne connected with a couple of back elbows, dropping Cardona before sending him to the outside with a back body drop. Jordynne dove through the ropes onto Cardona. She sent him back into the ring and pulled out a garbage can full of keyboards. Jordynne tossed the keyboards and other computer equipment into the ring.
Back from the commercial break, Cardona was in control stomping away at Jordynne in the corner. Rehwoldt told us that Cardona dropped Jordynne with a boot during the break to take control. Cardona grabbed the keyboard and smacked it across the back of Jordynne. Cardona used the cord of the power strip to choke Jordynne and then hit her in the head with it. Cardona connected with a neckbreaker, then grabbed a chair and used it to hit Jordynne in the midsection before setting it up normally. Cardona looked for a suplex onto it but Jordynne reversed and dropped Cardona ribs-first onto the chair. Jordynne hit some forearms to the back of Cardona and grabbed the keyboard, smacking it across the back of Cardona making a big snap noise. Jordynne broke a selfie stick in half and used it to hit Cardona. Jordynne connected with a belly-to-back suplex, then sent Cardona face-first into the middle turnbuckle, hit knees to the back, bounced off the ropes and hit an elbow to the jaw. Jordynne connected with the Vader Bomb, covered but Cardona kicked out.

— IMPACT (@IMPACTWRESTLING) February 25, 2022
Jordynne looked under the ring and grabbed a black bag. Jordynne emptied the bag in the centre of the ring and it’s a bag full of old cell phones. Cardona wrapped a mouse around his hand and went to hit Jordynne but she powerbombed him into a pile of cell phones. Cardona used the mouse to hit her in the head and forced a break. Cardona grabbed a chair and sent it right into Jordynne’s ribs. Cardona set the chair up in the corner and lifted Jordynne up but she hit him with a NutCracker. Cardona no-sold it and kicked Jordynne in the face. Cardona pulled out a cup that was saying “Alwayz Ready”. Cardona tried to hit Jordynne with the cup but she blocked it with another NutCracker (I love this girl…). Jordynne grabbed his cup and used it to choke him. Both of them went to their feet and Jordynne got sent face-first into the steel chair. Cardona rolled up Jordynne for a three-count after using the ropes for extra leverage.
The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”
If you’re a fellow reader of our website, you know we have a deathmatch specialist, Mr John Deathman, I will dub today Mister Toy Miser. You may remember, last year, Sami Callihan used a joystick in his Barbed Wire Massacre match against Eddie Edwards. When some unusual weapons/toys like a keyboard, a selfie stick, or mouses appear on my screen, I come to John who has a PhD in toys in wrestling (he watched matches involving piranhas and crocodiles, so…). I can confirm it was a first. You can imagine how happy he is… Me too…
The Nygma’s Noticeable Facts of the Week
– He is not that wrong…
Eddie Edwards’ speech was a bit long but it was really well done. Before being an Impact guy, Eddie was an RoH guy. For a long time now, I have considered him as the heart and soul of the company, a sentence you have heard a lot now on TV. Eddie’s promo was a great example of that as he had a good portion of the fans behind him, especially when discussing him being overlooked for so long. He did a good job turning against those fans rather than playing into it. Since the show aired, many fans have said on social media even if they didn’t like the way, they were agreeing with some things he said. Eddie had been vocal last year on the Forbidden Door and the effects it had on the company (I was not alone…). In his speech, he was also vocal about the RoH situation. Sometimes, reality and storyline intertwine and very few people can do what Eddie did, making it even more real.
– Deaner Re-Signs
Violent By Design is 3 people, Eric Young, Deaner and Joe Doering. When I talked to Deaner a while ago, he explained to me how connected the 3 were and how this faction was their idea, their words, their vision. Some will say the news of Deaner signing a new contract is not a major one. First of all, I love the fact he chose to stay with the family Impact Wrestling is and continue to work with EY and Doering in making VBD a major faction. Also, he shows that Impact Wrestling has become again a place to make a career, become the wrestler you want to be and develop a character or a storyline you have in mind. Damn, I love this company…
In an exclusive interview with https://t.co/WOoYYFaTXM, @CodyDeaner announced that he has re-signed with @IMPACTWRESTLING, extending his tenure with the company where he has been since 2018.

– Sacrifice
We already have 7 matches booked, it can seem a lot but don’t forget this iPPV is next Saturday… We could also add a Knockouts title match and probably Morrissey vs Myers to that card. Stay tuned…
To be eNYGMAtic…
With a gap of 2 weeks between 2 iPPVs, obviously, this episode was meant to be stacked in order to close a chapter and open the next one. And that works. Heath came a bit out of the blue (we say in my language like a hair in the soup…), then that works. The opening segment was a bit long, like Eddie’s, but they were important. We had pretty cool matches, enough backstage segments. The DotCombat match was unusual but fun. They’re nice chemistry between Jordynne Grace and Matt Cardona in the ring…
Honor No More are now a part of the show and I won’t say anything bad about that because we know how talented these guys are. Only Vincent and Matt Taven are “new” on IMPACT when the others already wrestled in the Impact Zone. And they deserve to be in it.
Since Hard To Kill, we have been blessed with really good episodes. Sacrifice will come very quickly, in 7 days. I have better not be that late next week with the weekly review… But sometimes, you have to listen to yourself in order not to burn your wings. I will just say I do my best…
On this “Nygma is Aware She’s Late Note”, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
