Welcome back to ChocoPro and to one of the biggest shows of Best Bro’s title tenure. Throughout their title reign with the Asia Dream Tag Titles, they’ve managed to cheat death with certain teams. One of those was CDK, Chris Brookes and Masahiro Takanashi. The devious duo has always proved to be the thorn in their side and now, Mei Suruga had called them out again. With Baliyan Akki as a double champion, the pressure was on to keep both belts as secure as possible. One wrong move and both could be gone as fast as they had arrived. Now, they would have to step up and find the answer to stop CDK once and for all, lest that belt day count come to a close. Let’s get into the action and see who came out on top.

Asia Dream Tag Title: CDK (Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi) defeated Best Bros (Baliyan Akki & Mei Suruga) via Crucifix/Jack-Knife Combo on Suruga

Here we are, the big title match. CDK vs Best Bros. The ultimate showdown for Best Bros. The team they have always struggled with. The gauntlet had been laid down, the fighters ready, Chie Koishikawa and her shark playing cheerleader. It was time to fight. We’ve seen Best Bros have we’re the baddies moments as of late and it seemed they were rushing to utilise that goblin energy again by attacking on the gong. Referee Shin Suzuki could only just get out of the way as the two teams started colliding, CDK pulling off their own crossbody combo mimic. That just pissed the champs off and the aggressive back-and-forth kept intensifying. Order was finally restored and Brookes tried to have a one-on-one with Akki, without the apple goblin derailing things. Their partners forced their way into the match and Takanashi got another stab at Suruga. CDK bullied Suruga with a stool and Suruga turned it on them, giving Best Bros the chance to double-team Takanashi. Akki and Suruga kept picking him apart, focusing on the weakened leg to try and end things quickly. Brookes tried to come to the rescue with bins and boots but couldn’t shake the Best Bros grasp on the match or his partner’s leg. Takanashi clotheslined his way to freedom and unleashed the wrath of Brookes on a dazed Akki. It was Akki’s turn to suffer as Brookes made him feel the full force of his submission arsenal, only escaping because Brookes jumped into a Backbreaker. Suruga got the tag and finally got to have some fun at CDK’s expense.

Her attack was going so well too, with a bunch of fast dodges and strikes but Brookes just used a weapon she couldn’t, the ceiling. Takanashi was able to stop her rebounding and sent Suruga on the deadly swing ride again using the crane and a stool. They made it feel even worse by launching the swing into a table. Even then, though, Suruga kept finding ways to power through and keep attacking. The problem was, so did Takanashi. CDK now had the match in a stranglehold, crushing Best Bros under their double-team. It wouldn’t last though as Best Bros continued to do what they do best, finding openings and exploiting them. With that, the match broke down as all four competitors just slugged it out until they all collapsed. Akki and Brookes were the first up and once again, beat the utter hell out of each other. This went on for some time, only ramping up in intensity until Brookes broke more of the studio with a Butterfly Superplex off the sink unit. Everyone was going for broke, even the studio. Takanashi and Suruga kept up the competitive streak, picking up the pace with rapid technicality and counters. Suruga’s nasty side came out again as she tried to strategically mangle his legs. She pulled out almost every submission in her book but just couldn’t get Takanashi to tap. Just as Best Bros seemed to have Takanashi out for the count, Brookes popped up again and killed that momentum with a Shoop Cutter.

CDK had been given the green flag to murder and now they were going to do so, starting with a Shotgun Neckbreaker on Akki. He tried to fight them both off but they just kicked the life out of him and Tombstoned him into the mat. They were primed to end Akki but Suruga made another save and Best Bros tried for a desperation B3. Takanashi kicked out so they kept trying to weaken him but couldn’t keep him down, adrenaline was pushing him through each move. He countered the Royal Dolphin Press and Brookes pretty much kicked Akki’s head off. Suruga tried to fight the pair off and both teams threw everything they had left at each other but neither team could make it work. Best Bros threw out their biggest driver on Brookes and circled Takanashi with Akki dropping him on his neck with a Fisherman Buster to the knee. Another Royal Dolphin Press crashed and burned and Takanashi caused Suruga to hit a Taka-Tonic on Akki. With him out of the fight, CDK jumped Suruga with a double pin, trapping her In a Jack-Knife/Crucifix Combo. It was done and CDK had become the new Asia Dream Tag Champs.

With that, a monumental reign had just ended. Suruga and Akki had held those titles for 422 days and seen off so many teams. Now, that had come to an end with their biggest rivals finally getting the better of them. Both teams had fought so hard and come so close but, in the end, Brookes and Takanashi had been the better team. They didn’t even want to gloat, Brookes was the sincerest we’d seen him since the Pencil Wars, commending Best Bros for making the titles worth holding. He still didn’t like Best Bros but he could respect them and everything they’d done to put ChocoPro on the map. They kick off a new era for the tag division. The match had taken its toll on Suruga too as she will have to miss the rest of the weekend’s action due to damage sustained and Akki now has a Super Asia Title to worry about. It will be interesting to see what comes next as CDK have some big shoes to fill.
