Josh Alexander is back in IMPACT Wrestling and the “Walking Weapon” will challenge Moose for the IMPACT World Championship at the REBELLION™ Pay-Per-View event in New York on April 23. Alexander made the stunning announcement just moments ago at IMPACT Wrestling’s SACRIFICE event in Louisville, Kentucky.

The former IMPACT World Champion, World Tag Team Champion and X-Division Champion was suspended from competition by IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore a month ago. It was reported that the “Walking Weapon” was in talks with other major promotions – making tonight’s return all the more shocking.

The Canadian stormed to the ring and laid Moose out cold. Grabbing a microphone, Alexander announced he had a signed contract for REBELLION. Moose had cruelling ripped the title away from Alexander at Bound For Glory last October – with the ex-champion becoming increasingly frustrated at not receiving a rematch.

“Moose’s reign will come to a brutal end on April 23 at Rebellion,” a fired-up Alexander said. “There are no more roadblocks between me and getting my hands on him.”

D’Amore was not immediately available for comment.

IMPACT Wrestling’s REBELLION will take place on April 23, in Poughkeepsie, New York at the MJN – Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center. Tickets are now on sale and The REBELLION Pay-Per-View is available to pre-order on FITE.

The full card for REBELLION will be announced in the coming weeks.
