As first announced by, Sharmell will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022 and will be enshrined in the hallowed hall during the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as part of WrestleMania Week. Sharmell joins The Undertaker and Vader in the Class of 2022.

While she may be a former Miss Black America, winning the 1991 Miss Black America Pageant at age 20, Sharmell was never just another pretty face. Behind that beauty stood an extremely cunning mind, and Sharmell was not afraid to do whatever it took to help her husband, Booker T, succeed in the squared circle and achieve some success of her own.

Sharmell came to prominence during her time in WCW, first under the name Storm before eventually redefining herself as Paisley. As a member of The Nitro Girls, she soon became a competitor and accompanied other competitors to the ring.

After signing with WWE and training in OVW in 2001, Sharmell donned a blonde wig and added her special brand of talent to The Suicide Blondes as Sister Sharmell. She also became a backstage interviewer.

Perhaps her greatest contribution in WWE, though, was her association with real-life husband Booker T. Accompanying Booker to the ring, Sharmell made quite a splash when she began interfering in her spouse’s matches. Although the fan-favourite Booker feigned innocence at first, the charade was eventually broken, and the WWE Universe learned what a mastermind the lovely Sharmell really was.

When Booker T won the King of the Ring Tournament in 2006, he started referring to himself as King Booker, and inevitably, his bride became Queen Sharmell. Together the pair began using faux English accents and carried a superior attitude, becoming the couple that the fans simply loved to loathe. When King Booker defeated Rey Mysterio at The Great American Bash to become the new World Champion, Queen Sharmell and Booker T took their place on the top of the mountain.

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place Friday, April 1, at American Airlines Center in Dallas as part of WrestleMania Week.  The event will stream live, exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network everywhere else. In addition, for the first time in history, WWE will present both Friday Night SmackDown and the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony live on the same night at American Airlines Center, giving all fans in attendance an unprecedented opportunity to witness both events for one price.

This year, WWE chose to induct a valet, and not a wrestler, in the Women wing of the Hall of Fame. According to Cagematch, Sharmell wrestled 24 matches in her career, including one in the WWE. She would mostly be remembered as Booker T’s Queen, screaming “All Hail King Booker!” in the middle of the ring.

In 2001, just before WCW was bought by the WWF, Sullivan was released from WCW and signed a developmental contract with WWF with the intent of becoming a full-time in-ring performer and backstage interviewer. She was sent to OVW to continue her training. She became a valet for The Suicide Blondes, as Sister Sharmell. Her training, however, was cut short by an injury, forcing her to retire from in-ring work. She would become a backstage interviewer on SmackDown! She retired when the company became the WWE.

She was re-hired in 2005, as the face valet for her real-life husband Booker T. Together they took part in a feud with Kurt Angle, during which Angle continually sexually harassed Sharmell. Sharmell began turning heel in October when she started interfering in Booker’s matches, presumably without his knowledge. Her heel turn was followed by a heel turn by Booker T.

Sharmell and Booker T then began a feud with The Boogeyman, and during a handicap match at WrestleMania 22. The Boogeyman managed to kiss Sharmell while he had a mouth full of worms before winning the match. After Booker T’s victory in the 2006 King of the Ring tournament, Booker T began referring to himself as “King Booker” and Sharmell as “Queen Sharmell”. As part of their new on-screen personas, the duo began acting pompous. After an injury, Booker T was granted his release, as Sharmell.

Sharmell and Booker run Reality of Wrestling (ROW) in Houston, Texas, a combined wrestling school and independent promotion that, like OVW, gives its students experience in front of a live crowd. In 2021, WWE Network listed Queen Sharmell as one of the women who made an impact in the WWE outside the ring. As a modern-era valet, Sharmell had been an asset in her husband’s career in WWE. As the Queen she was and still is, she will grace the WWE Hall of Fame of her unique majesty.
