WARNING: STRONG VIOLENCE AND LANGUAGE AHEAD

Welcome back to GCW as the Outlaws prepare to take Vegas once again. Sin City was calling and GCW had answered with one final show before the bloodbath of ToS and CoS. There was some groundwork to lay and a whole lot of talent to put through the wringer tonight. Across the show we’d see, Speedball Mike Bailey vs Chris Bey, Matt Cardona vs Blake Christian, EFFY vs Kevin Blackwood, Dark Sheik vs Jai Vidal, Allie Katch, Billie Starkz and Sandra Moone against the might of SGC, the first GCW appearance for Dad as he accompanied Johnny Game Changer for his match against Joey Janela and much more leading to the main event massacre as John Wayne Murdoch and Alex Colon tried to co-exist against Rina Yamashita and Cole Radrick. Let’s get into the action.

Scramble: Early Morning Guy Steele defeated Marcus Mathers, Jimmy Lloyd, Matt Vandergriff, The Rotation & Titus Alexander via Early Morning Neckbreaker on Mathers

The show opened with a GCW staple. The scramble was kicking us off and bringing in some of the best from Vegas, LA Fights and parts unknown as Early Morning Guy Steele had appeared late at night for a fight. This was also the big GCW debut for the wXw trainer, The Rotation so it would be fun to see what they could do. Well, this was an odd one. Steele seemed to be the thing to beat in this one as everyone ended up teaming up on the rubber man. He even shat himself mid-match to add a new layer to his offence. Alongside that, we saw The Rotation living up to his name and a whole host of other amazing moments as everyone took full advantage of the spotlight afforded to them. It made for great opening fodder and got everyone fired up. The scramble guys always flourish and it’s hard not to see why after yet another awesome little scramble. Guy Steele took the win, leaving us with more questions than answers about the GCW Cryptid with his rubber face and goggles that don’t fit.

Allie Katch, Billie Starkz & Sandra Moone defeated SGC (AJ Gray, Matthew Justice & Mance Warner) via Pussy Piledriver on Warner

Next up was some six-person tag action as SGC came to raise some hell. Warner, Justice, and the motherfucking truth AJ Gray were all in action and ready to cause a little fear and loathing in Las Vegas. Their opponents weren’t afraid though as they took on the team of Allie Katch, Billie Starkz, and Sandra Moone. We had a trio bringing different styles and strengths to the anarchy of SGC. At first, this threatened to be the most civil tag match SGC had ever had. They each picked a member and tangled with them, Justice had Moone, Gray had Starkz and Mancer wanted Katch. When that went south, it descended into the SGC brand of madness with everyone getting in on the door breaking, harsh brawling, and sheer fucking insanity. Moone, Starkz, and Katch all gave as good as they got with Katch even bringing out a knife to cut up Warner and Justice when things got dicey. Mance’s head and Justice’s chest were left bloody after that as Katch recreated one of her most brutal moments. It all made for an absolute car crash of a match but an utterly engrossing one. Everyone brought the fight and pushed this match to its limit. This was an absolute blast.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Chris Bey via Ultima Weapon

First off, congratulations to Mike Bailey and Veda Scott on getting married this past week. They seemed to be spending their honeymoon getting as many matches in as possible. For GCW, he was tangling with the Ultimate Finesser of the Bullet Club, Chris Bey. Both guys had already had wars throughout the day and were now about to blow some minds against each other. This bout was about two competing styles battling to be the best. These two ended up having the nastiest game of anything you can do, I can do better as both guys kept kicking, flipping, and flying whilst kicking out of the big hits the other brought. It was highly competitive and highly physical as these two kicked the absolute shit out of each other. This could have gone on for hours and they’d have kept finding new ways to counter and keep messing up each other. Again, you couldn’t look away for a second as they were continuously bringing the heat. Bailey and Bey are two must-watch wrestlers and this match just proved that further. Bailey might have won this round but it had left him hurting. Hopefully, it’s not the last we see of them fighting.

Matt Cardona defeated Blake Christian via Nutcracker Roll-Up

Oh no… here comes Matt Cardona. GCW’s “Deathmatch King” was back after too much time of peace and quiet to try and mug off another of the fan favourites. This time he’d been Twitter feuding with Blake Christian and now, they were going to settle this squabble in the ring. Could “Mid Cardona” find a way to stop All-Heart as he was on the run of a lifetime? After the name parade of opponents Christian wanted, we got down to fighting. This one went everywhere. These two took their brawling all around the venue with Christian nearly breaking chairs and Cardona nearly throwing a trashcan. We got high spots and hard knocks as Cardona worked through a potential arm injury to survive the ass-kicking. We got to see a balcony dive from Christian but it wasn’t able to get the win. When things returned to the ring, Christian tried to go for his stomp but it didn’t work as Cardona cracked his nuts with a low blow. A bit of tights-pulling later and the “Deathmatch King” had won it. Christian’s big run had just been ended by basic villain shit. Props to Cardona for fighting through the arm tear, if he’s not faking. Hopefully, he heals up so we can see more people wreck him. I think Christian is going to want some revenge.

Jordan Oliver & Nick Wayne defeated Gringo Loco & ASF via Clout Cutter on ASF

So, you want the pace picking up, eh? Here were two teams ready to raise the stakes and the speed limit. We had the best frenemies, ASF and Gringo Loco taking on the Young, Dumb n Broke duo of the East Coast Ace, Jordan Oliver, and the third-gen prodigy, Nick Wayne. Yep. I could talk about how cool this one was but I don’t know if I’d have all the words necessary. This was pretty damn cool and as always, featured the high-quality Lucha we’ve come to expect from Gringo Loco and ASF. Oliver and Wayne continue to flourish as a team and meshed well with their foes to give us a nice change of pace after Cardona slowed everything down. It’s hard not to enjoy a match like this, you can just sit back and watch these guys nail it. They knew what they needed to do and did it. Loco brought some Rudo fire to keep things boiling over. This was a very well-executed, high-pace tag war.

EFFY defeated Kevin Blackwood via Sunset Flip

Next up was one of the most unpredictable matches of the night. Kevin Blackwood was taking on EFFY and no one was too sure what either fighter would do. Blackwood is known for his harsh striking and submission work whilst EFFY seems to blend whatever style, he needs to get the win. We were all taking bets on if the two were going to kiss during the match too. This was going to be fun. I don’t think Blackwood quite knew what to make of this EFFY variant. He originally refused to partake in any of EFFY’s mind games and tried to have a straightforward match with wrestling and no fun stuff. It worked for a while but also brought out Super EFFY who was delivering Curb Stomps and Cattle Mutilation. It was all quite different to what we usually see from EFFY, Blackwood clearly pushing him to tap into some new variants that might have been lying dormant as the Padawan Braid variant still roams free. However, as the match went on, EFFY’s tricks started coming through and Blackwood tried to get Daddy with his own moves. The problem was, the harder Blackwood hit, the more EFFY liked it. He eventually went for the kiss hoping to stun EFFY but it seemed to have had the opposite effect as Blackwood seemed stunned and got caught into a Sunset Flip. EFFY had claimed another win and Blackwood had to go back to the drawing board. Great match, and great fun. EFFY remains as mystifying as ever.

Dark Sheik defeated Jai Vidal via Welcome to Die

When in Vegas, why not bring in one of the hottest talents on the scene? Jai Vidal was back in GCW and ready to put some work in. Vidal nearly always manages to be a show-stealer and now he was getting to tangle with Dark Sheik, another certified show-stealer. This could very well steal the show. Yeah, I think it did. Vidal looked to be the Baddest bitch in the room and was all attitude against someone he respected, giving Sheik everything. Through the match’s runtime, we saw hardcore shenanigans, lap dances and so much more as both tore each other apart. Vidal got to show off all the moves that bring him to the dance and was applauded the whole time, even when he was being a bit of a dick. Sheik answered back with just as much attitude and got creative in her attacks on Vidal. The pair broke a number of chairs and Sheik took the win with Welcome to Die after having the fortitude to kick out of the Power Bottom Bomb. It made for an amazing match with the pair continuously raising the stakes. I hope we see more from Vidal in GCW. Every time he’s here, he always steals the show.

Johnny Game Changer (w/Dad) defeated Joey Janela via Somersault Door-Breaking Elbow

Johnny Game Changer was back. After showing off his Bloodsport expertise and his Lucha moves, he was taking Vegas by storm to deal with the Bad Boy Joey Janela. We all know Janela wants to break everyone’s favourites and get his flowers so no one could be sure what he’d try to do in order to achieve this against Johnny. There was also the secondary element of viral sensation Dad backing up Johnny as his official cornerman. Win or lose, one thing was for certain, Janela would be going off to get lobster once this was done. This was one of those matches where you can tell everyone is having fun. Since this, fuck you I want to murder your favourites run began, Janela has been kicking things to another level. That chip on his shoulder has only gotten bigger and he keeps pushing himself to put on better and better matches. Since he was across from Johnny Game Changer, he was met by another excellent worker whilst Dad provided some much-needed comedy amongst the intense action. The action was betrayed by the world’s weakest door but that didn’t stop them both getting the most use from it and Janela getting busted wide open. This was vicious and Dad only got to enjoy half of it before Janela knocked him out. Vegas has provided some excellent matches for Janela and this was no exception. He may have lost but he’d left his mark on Johnny Game Changer and definitely on Dad, who’d tried to turn this into a boxing match…

Cole Radrick & Rina Yamashita defeated Alex Colon & John Wayne Murdoch via Murdoch’s Deception on Colon

Last but not least, the main event. Time for some ultraviolence as the fuckery was brought out and four combatants prepared to break it. ToS VII is just a week away and he was some preliminary violence. Drew Parker was sitting this one out at commentary after cutting his leg up and was going to watch his opponent Cole Radrick fill in for him. It would be Radrick and the Deathmatch Amazon Rina Yamashita taking on a team that couldn’t possibly co-exist, John Wayne Murdoch and Alex Colon, the men feuding over the GCW Ultraviolent Title. You know what, for the most part, they actually did. There was a lot of tension but once they got a tandem going, they were pretty damn unstoppable. Radrick and Yamashita were out there having fun and wrecking bodies. Yamashita was on fire; she was taking tube shots like they were nothing and using the Japanese deathmatch fire to outsmart Murdoch. It all made for an excellent main event full of blood and broken glass. Yamashita is always so much fun to watch and this was no different. Cole Radrick is really finding himself as a deathmatch wrestler and with Murdoch and Colon holding everything together, this main event just flowed. Some of the fuckery didn’t want to play nice but even that couldn’t derail things too much. Parker was enjoying the commentary spot and was offering nice bits of insight into the deathmatch mentality. Eventually, the inevitable happened and Murdoch betrayed Colon, dropping him with the Brainbuster and slumping Radrick on top of him. That gave Radrick the win and another reason for Colon to kill him, come CoS. What happened in Vegas sure as shit ain’t staying in Vegas this time.
