Welcome back to REVOLVER and the company’s business meets pleasure trip to Las Vegas. After the madness in Ohio, the company was looking to blow off some steam and take Sin City in style by giving us another super-card. Across the show we’d see, Billie Starkz vs Shazza McKenzie, Trey Miguel defending the Remix Title against Kenny King, EFFY vs Dan the Dad, Josh Alexander vs “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Alex Colon vs Jimmy Jacobs in a Vegas Streetfight, and much much more leading to the main event blow-out between JT Dunn and newly crowned REVOLVER Champion Chris Bey in an anything goes match. There was a lot to enjoy so let’s waste no more time and get into the carnage.

Sudden Death Scramble: Blake Christian defeated ASF, Anthony Greene, Bodhi Young Prodigy, Cole Radrick, Gringo Loco, Jordan Oliver & Nick Wayne via Heart Stomp on Bodhi

Today’s show opened with a sudden death scramble. Eight men were about to try and break each other to take a big opening match win. It would be Blake Christian taking on the debuting Nick Wayne, Jordan Oliver, Gringo Loco, Cole Radrick, ASF, Anthony Greene, and Bodhi Young Prodigy in a match that would no doubt go everywhere. This was my first time seeing Bodhi so I was curious as to how he’d do. This is how you start a show in style. These guys all launched at each other mixing Lucha, high-flying, power, and swagger to make the most of this star-studded scramble. Everyone got to shine with the breakneck pace giving us highlight after highlight. Bodhi was awesome and didn’t seem out of place alongside the more seasoned competitors I was familiar with. They did take the L but they’d tanked a ton of damage and hit a lot of high notes throughout. This bloody rocked and started things off strong. Blake Christian seems unstoppable no matter which company he’s in. There was a lot to enjoy here and the frantic pace meant you weren’t even given the time to question just what was going on at times. Even the ref got in on this action.

Billie Starkz defeated Shazza McKenzie via Joker Driver

Next up was the grand finale of the Shazza McKenzie US Tour. She was going out with a bang taking on one of the best young talents on the scene, Billie Starkz. It was hard to know which Starkz we were getting this time, Billie or the Bully. McKenzie was just going to have to fight and find out. She had experience with both so she should have the answer this time. Sadly, she didn’t and ended her tour on a loss but goddamn was this a physical one. Starkz was in the Joshi gear and was channelling the violence of Joshi striking whilst trying to kill McKenzie. The Bully seemed to be out as she aimed to break Shazza’s neck with an Apron Tombstone and tried to lay in as many stiff shots as she could. These two beat the hell out of each other with both going for broke. Nothing was enough to end this match until Starkz debuted something new in a Rubix Cube/Joker Driver. This was brutal in every way and ended Shazza’s tour with some fireworks. Billie Starkz is someone you don’t mess with. There was no mercy until the bell had rung as the pair hugged it out. Starkz is so damn good and continually evolving to get better. Now, she has the Joker Driver in her arsenal. RIP your neck.

REVOLVER Remix Title Pinfall to the Pen: Trey Miguel defeated Kenny King via Stunner

It was time for the first title match of the night. The Remix Title was on the line as Trey Miguel faced a familiar foe in a different context. King has been terrorising Miguel’s second home of Impact Wrestling as part of Honor No More, now he was going to have to defend his REVOLVER gold from King’s clutches. They opened with a Miguel “high as a kite” promo and added the stipulation that every time someone failed to get a winning pin had to take a hit of the resin pen. King accepted and we were in for some high times in Vegas. Obviously, they both had a lot of fun with this one. The stipulation meant that each failed pin got you just that bit higher and you could enjoy things even more. It helped that both guys are excellent wrestlers and mixed their fast and fluid style of fighting with the substance-fuelled stipulation. The pair got so lost in trying to roll each other up, that they racked up about 11 hits on the pen, leading to a puff off. Miguel managed to retain his title and get high AF so he really was the big winner today. This could easily have become something silly, but the pair made the stipulation fun while maintaining an actual wrestling match.

Crash Jaxon defeated Alexander Hammerstone, Kal Jak & Willie Mack via Ejection Seat Pop-Up Powerbomb on Jak

What originally was set to be a hoss fight three-way between Willie Mack, Crash Jaxon, and Kal Jak became a four-way as another Muscle Mountain wanted to enter the mix. D’Lo Brown announced the special entrant as he was the guest commissioner. So, we now had four beefy boys ready to kill each other. There was a whole lotta dude in that ring and they all came to work. This was another absolute blast of a multi-man match. We had ridiculous feats of strength, power games, and every other type of hybrid hoss impact. If you love hoss fights, this match had you covered. There was a lot of beef in that ring and all of them were working their ass off. I have nothing to complain about here, Hammerstone was an excellent surprise addition, Mack and Jak were as amazing as ever and it was great to see Jaxon rack up another win.

EFFY defeated Dan the Dad via Naughty Rope-Clutch Roll-Up

It was Dad vs Daddy time as EFFY came to REVOLVER to challenge the resident Dad, Dan the Dad. This wasn’t going to be any old wrestling match. EFFY was going to do whatever he could to disrupt the calm Dan the Dad enjoys. Dan loves rules, and EFFY loves chaos. Dan wanted his peace and quiet so he was going to shut EFFY down, the hard way. Wow, this was entertaining. Dan the Dad was in full-on dad mode, trying to play fair and teach EFFY a lesson the proper way. EFFY was the ball of chaos he always is and seemed to keep Dan the Dad guessing the whole time. We saw the best hits of both, EFFY really enjoyed it when Dan went for discipline with the belt whip and tried to disorient him with a lip lock. I expected this one to be fun and I wasn’t disappointed. They both couldn’t be more opposed if they tried and EFFY won by getting one over on the rule-following Dad by blatantly clutching the ropes. I do love a good dose of irony.

Josh Alexander defeated “Speedball” Mike Bailey via C4 Spike

Oh damn, this was a big one. We had the IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion, Josh Alexander, taking on the ironman of the independent circuit, “Speedball” Mike Bailey. This was a non-title affair but not only did it promise to be a super fight, but if Bailey won, that’s a pinfall over the head champion of Impact. People were hyped for this one and with good reason too. These two are masters of their craft. I don’t think much description is needed here. These two had an answer for almost anything the other could throw. Alexander was getting the better of Bailey in a way we hadn’t really seen in quite some time, throwing him around like nothing. That didn’t stop Bailey from kicking the hell out of Alexander at any given moment and going for broke with a stage Moonsault Knee drop. It was the best of both guys in a sprint of a match. This is hopefully not the last meeting between these two as this was a belter of a bout. Alexander got the win here, handing Bailey a rare loss. This was brutal at times and full of huge moments and great wrestling. More of this in the future, please.

Vegas Street Fight: Alex Colon defeated Jimmy Jacobs via Bloodfighter Clutch

What better way to bring a hardcore element to the show than by putting one of the best hybrid deathmatch wrestlers on the planet, the Blood Fighter, Alex Colon against one of the most unique hybrid deathmatch wrestlers of all time, Jimmy Jacobs. These two had doors to break and brawls to be had as Wrestling Society X met Blood-Fighting. This was going to get pretty damn rough. The crowd wanted violence so the pair went right for the toys and started swinging. They took their fight everywhere, brawling to the bar, through the fans, and back again, all while trying to hit each other with anything not nailed down. Doors were broken, chairs were bent and both guys felt the sting of weaponry. It was a great fight that sent a hurricane of hardcore throughout the venue. It was a nice adrenaline rush to spike fans’ heart rates and gave us another excellent Jimmy Jacobs match. Alex Colon always knows how to bring the best out of his foes and this was no exception. I had a blast here and so did the fans in the building.

Impact Digital Media Championship: Rich Swann defeated Matt Cardona via 450 Splash

It was time for the second title match of the night. The IMPACT Digital Media Championship was on the line as Rich Swann brought the fight to Matt Cardona. The music played as Swann brought the party and hoped to leave with the ultimate party favour, the Digital Media Championship. We all know what Cardona will do to keep a title, was Swann prepared? Yes, he was. He started hot and with a little fan interaction beat down Cardona around ringside. That hot start fizzled out though as Cardona dropkicked his way into control and tried to grind down Swann with every cheap shot he could. Swann is built to go all night long though and refused to stay down. He kept kicking and lashing back until Cardona was out of tricks. Even a low blow couldn’t stop Swann. The 450 Splash got Swann the win but he didn’t leave with his gold as Cardona attacked post-match and skulked off with his now stolen title. Again, this was a pretty fun watch. Cardona knows what people expect of him and revels in being an absolute dick. It made Swann all the more of an underdog and it was all the more fun to see him get smacked in the mouth. Chances are this little spat will be continued on Impact with Cardona losing the title a second time.

REVOLVER Title Anything Goes: JT Dunn defeated Chris Bey (c) via Death By Elbow

Last but not least, the main event. JT Dunn, the now-former REVOLVER Title champion was looking to regain his gold after losing it to Chris Bey at FSW vs REVOLVER the night before. The leader of the Unit was livid that the announcer told the truth and was now going to try and murder Bey to get his title back. It was anything goes so anything and everything could happen. He did not have an easy task though; Bey had beaten him once. He could always do it again. Well, he could have were it not for Allie Katch. Dunn and Bey had an absolute masterclass in hardcore-tinged professional wrestling. it was very physical, very intense and rather brutal as the pair found the other to be unshakeable. No matter what was thrown, these two just wouldn’t stay down. This fight went around ringside and back again as Dunn squandered most advantages he got by jaw-jacking with a whole load of pissed off fans. That didn’t stop him and Bey from tearing the house down with horrifying landings on chairs and trashcans. We saw killing blows galore and a whole host of heavy hits but nothing could get the job done. Dunn eventually hit low, giving us a nutcracker for the Nygma but even that wasn’t enough to end things. Dunn went haywire with a chair and continuously assaulted Bey, bringing out Allie Katch. At first, she appeared to be the saviour from the Saviour but that was a ruse. Katch pledged to the Unit and speared Bey through a door. As Bey recovered, Katch distracted him and Dunn clocked him with Death by Elbow. That got the three-count and Dunn his belt back. The REVOLVER Title lies with JT Dunn and the Unit once again with Katch proving to be a deadly new member of the group. Post-match, D’lo Brown came out to aid Bey and sent Dunn Sky High for his disrespect. It was a nice ending after the events of the main event with Sami Callihan giving us one final laugh by screwing up the music production. That ended another awesome REVOLVER show and showed that a Vegas vacation need not end in disaster… unless your Chris Bey.
