Here is the case. The Road to Slammiversary continues, with its surprises, comebacks, and other arrivals. What will we find at the end of the Road? I don’t know… I don’t want to know… No, in fact, I want to know… And the case continues…
On the menu, this week, from Kissimmee, FL, Blake Christian will face off Kenny King and try to grab his spot in the Ultimate-X Match at Slammiversary. Moose will team up with Steve Maclin against W. Morrissey and PCO. Savannah Evans and Mia Yim will fight. Our Drama King Matthew Rewholdt will leave the ringside to compete against the new IMPACT Digital Media Champion Rich Swann. Honor No More’s OGK will square off with Rhino and Heath. So no more words, let’s get ready for some action, but your French Enygma Steph way, of course…

He told Shark Boy he has no idea what this place has become. Chris Harris showed up and told Eddie to back off Shark Boy. Harris told Eddie he’s been out of the game for a while but he has no problem throwing down with him. Eddie told him to enjoy the reunion because, at Slammiversary, they put it all to an end. Eddie walked off and Harris told Shark Boy he’s got his back, man.

Rayne said there’s no wee over there anymore before Steve and Taurus walked up, scaring off The Influence.

- The Good Brothers were here to tell the crowd they’re in line to face the Briscoes at Slammiversary and it’s not earned because it’s deserved. Anderson asked Gallows if they did MSG, Tokyo Dome, O2 Arena, etc. and he said they have. Karl said the Briscoes have done it all but they haven’t done what the Good Brothers have done. They made fun of the Briscoes’ accomplishments and ran down clips of them having big moments in Impact wrestling. They replayed the one time they beat the Briscoes a bunch of times. The Briscoes had heard enough and they came out. Marks told them they barked up the wrong tree as they climbed into the ring. Jay grabbed a mic and called them funny but also soft. He said the difference between them is they get up and grind every day. The Good Brothers don’t know anything about what they do. Mark said they bust their ass while the Good Brothers pamper their asses. Anderson said they stepped on their toes coming out here because they were going to show their #1 moment in Impact Wrestling. Gallows gave a drumroll and Karl said it was that time they beat the Briscoes. Jay said they’re too busy being comedians, that’s why they aren’t champions. The Good Brothers dropped their coats and we got a brawl inside the ring. Gallows was dumped outside, The Briscoes sent Anderson into the ropes but Gallows pulled him under the ropes for the save.
The Briscoes have had enough of the comedy!

Doering walked up, and Eric did as well, they jumped on Josh. Impact’s security broke the brawl up.

The Nygma’s Nutcracker(s) of the Week
– Kenny King vs Blake Christian (every Kenny mentioned in this match report is not Kenny, the kendo stick…)
Kenny didn’t seem to be taking Blake too seriously here. Blake offered a handshake and received a right hand instead. Kenny backed Blake up into a corner and laid into him with strikes. King hit a strike to the back and continued laying into Blake with rights. Blake went off the ropes and he fired past Kenny, dodging a series of strikes. Blake charged at Kenny and slid through to the outside. King went on the outside and Blake connected with a nice dive, taking him out.
Back from the break, King was back in control with a boot to Blake Christian’s face. Kenny asked the crowd what his name is and he spelt it out. King hit a forearm on Blake in the corner, then hit him with a suplex out of the corner. King locked Blake in an abdominal stretch., then charged Blake in the corner and ate an elbow from Blake. Blake went for a German Suplex attempt but Kenny fought out. He went for a backdrop and Blake countered and hit King with a dropkick to the back. Blake followed with a neckbreaker and a half-and-half suplex. After flips, Blake looked for a DDT, but King countered and rolled right into a double stomp from Blake. Blake shoved King onto the apron and went for a handspring but ate a kick right in the spine, followed by a blockbuster.
King lifted Blake up but he fought free. King replied with a kick and went right into a spinebuster. Blake went for a roll-up but ate a superkick instead. Morrissey and Moose locked up, Morrissey backed up Moose but he countered and sent Morrissey into the corner. Moose hit a chop to Morrissey but he countered and hit Moose with a chop of his own. They exchanged chops in the corner before Morrissey took control. Moose went for a running uppercut but Morrissey countered with a running big boot. PCO tagged in, lifted Moose up and choked him into the corner. Moose sent PCO into the corner but PCO moved just in time. Maclin attempted to break it up but Morrissey hopped in and slapped the taste out of his mouth. Double splashes in the opposing corners, Moose attempted to break it up and ended up splashing Maclin instead. Lots of splashes followed.
Morrissey and PCO connected with a double chokeslam to Maclin. They started going crazy together and it seemed that Morrissey was starting to lose it like PCO. PCO sent Moose into the corner face-first into the turnbuckle. Morrissey choked Moose in the corner with his boot before the referee forced them to break the hold. Morrissey bounced off the ropes but ran into a knee from Maclin. Moose took out Morrissey’s knee and stomped away at him. Moose jumped up and hit a nice stomp down on Morrissey’s knee. Maclin tagged in and went to work on the knee. Maclin hit a DDT on the leg. He pulled Morrissey onto the apron and stomped away at his knee. Moose tagged in and continued to work on Morrissey’s injured knee. Maclin did the tag and went right to the submission again, working the knee of Morrissey. Maclin tagged in Moose who went after Morrissey but he powered out and tagged in PCO. PCO ran through Moose with a clothesline, then a neckbreaker on Maclin. Maclin back inside and hit a DDT on Morrissey. Maclin covered and picked up the victory.
The Weekly “Enigma For a Nygma”
I’m sorry, but I laughed… Heath may be saying the ambulance guys to be careful with Rhino, they shook him inside and outside the ambulance like a coconut tree. The 35 first seconds of this segment are worthy of a spoof movie (think Hot Shots)…

2022 as if we were in 2005… A blast from the past, as Tom Hannifan said…

– Shake, rattle and roll…
This week was pretty hot in and out of the Impact Zone. Rich Swann became the new IMPACT Digital Media Champion at Wrestling REVOLVER’s Vegas Vacation, but Matt Cardona decided to keep the belt. W. Morrissey seemingly wrestled his last match in the Impact Zone as we learnt he is done with Impact Wrestling. Matt Cardona is not going to compete for a good while as he got injured at a GCW show. He may say he will defend the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship next weekend, but I think that will be complicated. Jack Evans is back on IMPACT after a brief stint on TNA in 2011. We can thank AEW for not renewing his contract… And, the cherry on the cake, IMPACT X-Division Champion Ace Austin became a member of the Bullet Club.
.@The_Ace_Austin has joined BULLET CLUB!!!!#IMPACTWRESTLING https://t.co/eno5IBAFZT

Five matches are set now, I still think the party will be unique on its own… (for the IMPACT Originals, give us James Storm and Chris Harris, please…)
To be eNYGMAtic…
Once again, a pretty good episode action-wise with enough promos and backstage segments. The Road to Slammiversary continues. We’re now 2 weeks away for the PPV, some things need to be said and done.
Once again, I will stop with that. IMPACT has been on the best possible ride since the beginning of the year. Some family issues made me be late this week, my apologies… Next week’s review will be very special, as special for me as the company soon turning 20, so stay tuned…
On this “Nygma is Definitely Late This Week” note, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
