Following yesterday’s historic crowning of Major League Wrestling’s first-ever Women’s World Featherweight Champion, MLW has announced a Women’s World Featherweight Championship bout: Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Brittany Blake as MLW presents Battle Riot IV at New York City’s Melrose Ballroom on June 23, featuring an MLW Fusion TV taping.

Fresh off being crowned the inaugural Women’s World Featherweight Champion, Taya Valkyrie will hit New York City next Thursday defending her newly won title for the first time ever. MLW Matchmaker Cesar Duran escalated the already signed bout between Valkyrie and Blake making the stakes higher and the prize much richer: the World Championship. Who will walk out of the Melrose Ballroom as champion? Taya or Brittany?

Davey Richards, Mads Krugger and Real 1 will participate in the 40-wrestler Battle Riot as MLW returns to New York City’s Melrose Ballroom on June 23, featuring an MLW Fusion TV taping.

The hunt is on next Thursday as Davey Richards has officially entered the Battle Riot. The decorated veteran wrestler has the experience, tenacity and in-ring excellence to go deep in the Riot. A master of the ring, could the American Wolf be the last man standing at the end of the night?

The 7-foot masked mercenary is pure destruction in the ring and Mads Krugger is officially now in the Battle Riot. A ferocious force since emerging in MLW in late 2020, the unforgiving blunt force Krugger is known to unleash easily makes him a favourite to go all the way next Thursday in New York City. Can the South African brute conquer all in his path to a showdown with the World Champ?

The Real 1 will make his Battle Riot debut next Thursday when MLW makes its return to NYC after 3 years. The Jersey brawler is crossing the river and looking to put the hurt to anyone that gets in his way of winning a title shot. An unorthodox street fighter, the Battle Riot may be the PERFECT match for the realest one to outwit, outfight and outsmart 39 other combatants. Will Real 1 have his hand raised at the end of the night?

A mash-up of a battle royal, royal rumble and Anything-Goes Street Fight, this super-sized main event will feature 40 wrestlers with new participants entering the ring every 60 seconds. There will be surprises! There will be legends! There will be WTF entries… and there will be no disqualifications. Elimination is by pinfall, submission, or throwing an individual over the top rope. Anything is possible in a Battle Riot.

The winner gets a World Heavyweight Title Shot anywhere, anytime. It could be that night; it could be in 6 months. The challenger has the key to unlock an instant title shot against whoever the champion is.
