Dear eNYGMAtic followers and readers,

due to personal issues, this week’s review, and maybe the coming weeks’ ones, will be shorter and probably less “Nygma” than usual.

The Nygma’s Chart of the Week

Tom Hannifan and The Drama King Matthew Rewholdt were on commentary. On ‘BTI, Laredo Kid defeated Johnny Swinger w/ Zicky Dice (BTI is now available only on Impact Wrestling YouTube and Facebook channels at 7.30 PM EST/12.30 AM GMT and on Impact Plus).

  • VXT (Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo) defeated IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace & Mia Yim.

  • Backstage, Honor No More cut a promo. Vincent said he was attacked from behind before correcting himself to say he was attacked. Eddie asked where PCO was when Heath attacked Vincent from behind. Eddie told PCO that a failure is no longer an option here. Maria said tonight there can be no excuses and there will be no Honor.

  • Speedball Mike Bailey defeated Deaner to retain the X-Division Championship in a very good match.

  • Ric Flair Moment of the Week.

  • Deonna and Chelsea were backstage as Gail walked up, they asked her if she saw what they did out there tonight. Chelsea said Deonna pinned Mia who is challenging for the Knockouts championship at Emergence so she wants it to be a triple threat. Gail said no and told them that they’ll both get a Knockouts World Tag Team title match instead.

  • Eric Young told Deaner and Doering that they need to prove themselves by eliminating the sickness.

  • Masha Slamovich defeated Madison Rayne. She handed an envelope to Gisele, inside was a picture of her with a red cross on it.

  • Backstage, Bhupinder Gujjar called out Brian Myers for being scared to face him. Myers said he can’t just fight everyone and everyone wants to wrestle Bhupinder too. He told Bhupinder that Vincent wants a match with him and set that match up himself.

  • Killer Kelly will debut next week in the Impact Zone.

  • Bullet Club (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) defeated Honor No More (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) w/ Maria. Heath hit the ring and hit Taven from behind, allowing Bey and Austin to grab the win.

  • Backstage, Steve Maclin told Gia Miller he’s not worried about Sami, he is made for this, he is always one step ahead. Maclin said to him this is war, the lights flicker and Sami arrived and attacked Maclin as Gia called for security. Moose appeared and held Sami as Maclin nailed him with a pipe. They grabbed a trash can and tried to hit Sami with it but he clicked a button on his phone and disappeared.

  • Backstage, Rosemary argued with Havok who became too nice for her and was a fan of Taya’s coat.

  • Backstage, IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander ran down with Scott D’Amore the list of potential challengers he has as Rich Swann walked up to him. Swann said when he lost his championship, he lost his mojo but he’s got his flavour and his mojo back. Swann said you heard Josh, and told D’Amore to make the match. Scott D’Amore made Swann vs. Kushida next week instead.

  • Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin to become the new #1 contender for the IMPACT World Championship. He will face Josh Alexander at Emergence.

  • After the match, Doering and Deaner hit the ring and attacked both Shelley and Sabin. KUSHIDA hit the ring to make the save.

To be eNYGMAtic…

Excellent episode, with great matches, good backstage segments, and KUSHIDA debut. I’m unable to find a flat note this week. Emergence is taking place in 3 weeks and the build-up is good. That motivates me to come back to my reviews stronger and fiercer than ever…
On this “Nygma Needs to Slow Down” note, until next week (if I want), take care, stay safe, watch wrestling, and never EVER forget to stay #eNYGMAtic…
